I love horses but I don't ride. there must be men on here who ride horses.

My sister rides horses and she is really into it. I can't ride because I have a lot of hip and knee pain.

I looked after horses for one friend who was in hospital was awesome experience, I been introduce to two horses and one fall got chance to ride once, and brushing them for hours to gather is best therapy.

Horses can be relaxing.I love a long multi day mountain ride.away from people with the right company with you its perfect

I would rather take a trip on horseback through the mountains, than in a car on the highway! Might take me longer to get there, but what better way to spend retirement?

I'm the son of a 3rd generation Wyo rancher. I ride every chance I get which is usually just when I'm where I have family. All of them have horses and several of the younger ones rodeo.

Kind of a side note here. I don't look a guys here of course,so maybe you're right that there are plenty of cowboys here but I can't help but mention that just because some guy wears a hat or what he thinks is a cowboy costume doesn't make him a cowboy. I'm not one but I surely know one when I see one...

Growing up, we had the only farm in NYC, so I learned to ride horses to school. Getting them on the subway was at times a pain.

I agree .. cowboy can be just a label and have a very different meaning .. I was not referring to the hat wearing kind .. laughing

Ot .. I love horses ., often ride on the beach and through the forest . We have amazing trails out here :-)

back in November, I fell in love with a beautiful little quarter horse mare. we discovered she had been rescued from a kill pen. I decided that I was going to be her special someone. my coach even let me help name her. fast forward a month or so - it turns out she's pregnant.

I graduated high school and spent the next week and a half at the barn, waiting for the baby to come. on May 29, I move away from home to my own place. on May 30, my coach sends me the message that he finally came that morning. (horses have the most perfect timing) I raced back home and arrived at night in the middle of a rainstorm. I ran into the barn and found them in the stall in the back - mama Lindy and baby Jitterbug.

so here's the plan: get a full time job, work my rear end off, remember my motivation, and bring my baby girl and her baby boy down in the fall.

catinidaho my son was my riding buddy he decided at 16 he no longer wanted a horse he wanted a pickup.. Which started me getting rid of them.. Sold his to the bf I had at the time in order to keep them together.. My daughter never got into riding even tho I had her a horse.. for the times she wanted to ride.. It got to the point I was not riding as much and felt they needed to go to a good place.. The bf that bought my son's horse bought mine too..Sold my daughters to a older man that wanted a horse that his grand kids could ride.. The one I had was perfect.. bought him actually from a lady that took pics of kids on horses..Sold my horse trailer to buy my daughters Prom Dress... all well worth it in the end..

The bf that bought my horse and my sons actually donated them both to a boys home.. Where they got to live out the rest of their lives being pampered and with plenty of attention..

So in the end both of my older horses lived to be around 28+ years.. before they passed away at the Boys Home they were donated too.. they were both 24-25 when they went there.. My daughters horse got to live his life out on a huge ranch..

They are gorgeous animals. Had to opporutnity to ride twice.
