If you have never heard of Diamond and Silk, they are two black women who have over 1.3 million FB followers, a YouTube channel and of course their own website. They have a unique way of delivering political commentary, almost like a slap-stick comedy routine but with some serious subject content.
Although I am not an avid follower of them( I really don't
follow anyone), I have seen them several times and find them entertaining and with a unique view on political events. I have never seen or heard of them espousing violence or threats against anyone.

So why has Facebook censored these two black women for "being unsafe to the community" ?

With all the disturbing violent content and people espousing different hate views on a wide range of subjects, why would FB single out these two black women?

Could it be they are anti-Obama and very pro Trump? Could it be that they are unsafe or dangerous because as their following grows larger by the day, and could show women and people of color its ok to break the mold of always supporting DEMS and why the president is doing a good job for minorities?

Facebook has released a statement that "they are reaching out to the owners of the D&S page to resolve this issue" but Diamond and Silk who are the creators have not heard anything from FB.

Facebook certainly has enough problems with their selling of private data which Mark Zuckerberg is now having to testify before congress about,and now censoring Black political commentary adds more fuel to the fire.

I wonder if FB would have censored these two if they were rabid Trump haters?

I have actually watched a few of their video's and as you said they are harmless with a bit of comedy added..

Myself from time to time I do watch their video's and must say they have a point and and a good one at that..

They do have a facebook but seems their feeds don't get put on your feed like they use too.. They did post a letter today they got from Facebook seen it this morning here is what they posted..

Seems those that have liked them don't see their post when they come up. But I have noticed that on those that I have liked pages even theirs is not coming up like they use to and some are friends of mine not just random accounts...So they are not the only ones being censored by post not showing up on feeds as they use too..

Diamond And Silk have been corresponding since September 7, 2017, with Facebook (owned by Mark Zuckerberg), about their bias censorship and discrimination against D&S brand page. Finally after several emails, chats, phone calls, appeals, beating around the bush, lies, and giving us the run around, Facebook gave us another bogus reason why Millions of people who have liked and/or followed our page no longer receives notification and why our page, post and video reach was reduced by a very large percentage. Here is the reply from Facebook. Thu, Apr 5, 2018 at 3:40 PM: "The Policy team has came to the conclusion that your content and your brand has been determined unsafe to the community." Yep, this was FB conclusion after 6 Months, 29 days, 5 hrs, 40 minutes and 43 seconds. Oh and guess what else Facebook said: "This decision is final and it is not appeal-able in any way." (Note: This is the exact wording that FB emailed to us.)

So our questions to Facebook (Mark Zuckerberg) are:
1. What is unsafe about two Blk-women supporting the President Donald J. Trump?
2. Our FB page has been created since December 2014, when exactly did the content and the brand become unsafe to the community?
3. When you say "community" are you referring to the Millions who liked and followed our page?
4. What content on our page was in violation?
5. If our content and brand was so unsafe to the community, why is the option for us to boost our content and spend money with FB to enhance our brand page still available? Maybe FB should give us a refund since FB censored our reach.
6. Lastly, didn't FB violate their own policy when FB stopped sending notifications to the Millions of people who liked and followed our brand page?

This is deliberate bias censorship and discrimination. These tactics are unacceptable and we want answers!

I don't see how FB can reasonably and intelligently answer these questions raised by D&S.

Hopefully FB will see how blatant their bias is and retract their Censorship.

Seems he may be in a world of hurt and suppose to let facebook users know their info was hacked..

But getting back to Diamond & Silk it is wrong to censor them they do not promote violence ect or porn which I see pics that should not be allowed but are yet they want to silence them??? Think they better retract and let them post..

Yes FB can have serious financial liability too. The Federal Trade Commission, a bi-partisan independent group can fine a company $40,000.00 for a single breach of a person's privacy.
Imagine FB paying that amount for 87 million users!

The acting FTC Directtor recently released this statement.

Foremost among these tools is enforcement action against companies that fail to honor their privacy promises, including to comply with Privacy Shield, or that engage in unfair acts that cause substantial injury to consumers in violation of the FTC Act. Companies who have settled previous FTC actions must also comply with FTC order provisions imposing privacy and data security requirements. Accordingly, the FTC takes very seriously recent press reports raising substantial concerns about the privacy practices of Facebook. Today, the FTC is confirming that it has an open non-public investigation into these practices.”

I guess Facebook has a lot more to worry about then the backlash of Diamond and Silk supporters

Its a huge site and they are being reinstated. It was a temporary pause and the call was on the Site to make, just as this site temporarily pauses some of us.

It is the call of the site, and nothing unusual with such sites. Im sure they arent the first, only, or last to experience it.

It wasn't a pause, this took place for over 4 months until FB finally addressed the issue about "being a danger to the community".
Yesterday FB released another statement saying they had Talk to Diamond and Silk and have resolved the issue.
But late last night D&S was on a news program (@ 11pm est) and said they still had not talked to or had been contacted by FB.

Just a FYI, their page was never taken down, but their news feed and followers were cut off from their updates etc.

Problem is that for many fb has become reality and sole methods of information, they play there lives by it instead of using it as a tool.
Get into the real face to face world where at least you can see the spy across the street watching you!

FB as their sole reality? Thats scary.

Actually the problem is they did not do anything against the site rules!

What happen is their post do not go to those that have liked their page or is following them....Therefore not seeing them in the news feed...

I could understand if they actually went against the rules and they censored them ect..

But Facebook has not came out and actually at least gave a reason for eliminating them from the news feed from those that follow them..

Believe me they have no issue banning members when they post against the rules..Nor do they have a problem give you a time out for what you post.. Have known several that have been in facebook jail for posting against the rules..

D & S page is up and running if they are in facebook jail they deactivate them till their time is up... This is not the case with D&S.

again, I dont see this as different than how any other site enforces their 'policies' They gave a reason. the issue of whether the reason is legitimate, like all sites, is another matter.

It sucks yes, but its up to the discretion AND perspective of those running the site and making the decisions.

not really, considering it is without base, merit, or logic. Zuckerberg does not personally label these pages and many other pages on Facebook feature black women.
