Tbh, I doubt very much that most of the people who joined fb realised that there info would be sold or open to the world,that would be to much for them to understand, all they understand is that there friend is :making a coffee, going to the toilet, changing their jeans or slagging off someone else!
Fb is there world, they don't give a hoot about the real world
isnt that the truth? The common sense levels have certainly been replaced with emotionalism and cut and paste logic in my lifetime
I disagree, I'd say more like the past 5-6 years!
Plus the whole of the civilised world is having the responsibility of common sense taken away from them by things like health and safety, human rights, and so on.

I think its like technology, it may have been increasing its pace more lately, but its been changing over my lifetime, beginning with the Dr. Spock teachings about pampered child rearing, and feminist teachings about how children only needed love and not mothers AND fathers, and how even saying something that a female MAY personally find offensive is grounds for a lawsuit... et cetera, et cetera ,,,,
