Ryan says it is a personal family decision, to spend time with his children.

Hahahaha.
I wonder if the decision was something like: "I like kids. But all this time in the HoR and congress makes me want to spend it with children I don't hate."

I think Ryan has aspirations to be president at some point. He can run for Governor next which would be more local and good step toward his ultimate goal.
I'm not a huge Ryan fan but I think he did a good job overall.
It must be very frustrating to Ryan and most House members to work so hard to get bills past(over 400)just to be shot down by a very dysfunctional Senate.
