Unfortunately the father of the killer owned the guns, after his son had previous incidents, where a judge took the guns away from him but then the father got the guns transfered to him instead of his son.
So then the guns were the father's. Legally.

I think their justice system will deal with him, as they should. I dont think they can really be compared to what happens in America, which has twice the murder rate, 25 times the rate of rape, and three times as much gun violence.

IF anything, maybe we can take a cue from Toronto. Perhaps it is easier to attain and use a vehicle, and considering how few mass vehicle deaths they have, that may be a very good thing.

There was cellphone video of the guy after he crashed the van, pointing some sort of object at a police officer during the standoff.

From Sky News: Footage shows the officer refusing to gun down Alek Minassian as he appeared to shout "kill me" and "I have a gun in my pocket".

The man van killing had a problem with not being able to connect with women in tring to get a relationship. So, he tried to run down mostly Women.

I believe I read a quote about the war on women had started and a reference to some internet group. Seems that the lack of sex or an inability to find a relationship is becoming more of a common problem among men especially younger ones. The resultant anger seems to be coming to the surface.
