My older neighbor lady had to move after 15yr to nursing home.

My new neighbor rents the small two bedroom home since November 2017.

He has a small trailer that he moved right beside the house when he moved in.
5 months later he moves a woman into his house and a middle age man into the small trailer.

Not sure whats happening yet. But looks fishy. Could he be renting to people off Craig's list? what

He is friendly and speaks but I don't get too close to Strangers.

scared

so??

i dont see what the problem is,unless there is some sort of local ordinance about living in a trailer in your community/neighborhood.

also, why do you think that it is your business what other people do?

Actually, it is.
Especially in her own neighborhood.

Perhaps if more people payed attention to what's happening around them some of the messed up stuff that happens could be avoided.
Especially if said neighbor is loading up an old trailer with fertilizer (ammonium nitrate).

Good point tom.
Actually, many places here especially in the cities people have lived for years next to the same people and never know them!
Not sure how it's got to this stage.
Imo people have become more selfish, anything they do has to be of benefit to them, imagine that attitude in ww2 in London!
Back then everyone knew everyone. And would do anything for anyone even if they didn't know them.

Yeah, times have changed.
People seem to be
"Living with the Shades Pulled Down"
Literally for some, figuratively for most.

Where does the retired veteran come into it?

Is that the neighbour or the one in the trailer.

Personally I’d say hello and get to know them, they may be nice people, most people are nice.

Could be the trailer guy is helping pay rent.

no...
if what they are doing is not illegal,it ISNT any of your business what other people do on their own property.

and, since the person is LEGALLY renting the property from the property owner, under the law, that is considered THEIR property,as long as they pay the rent.

trying to rationalize it as 'your business',cuz it is on 'your neighborhood' is just a nosy person trying to find a way to rationalize it so that they can pretend like they have the RIGHT to butt into OTHER PEOPLE's business, where they have no legal leg to stand on,and no legal right to do so!
[just like the lady on the news who everybody is publically ridiculing now,and calling her a 'racist',cuz she called the police on the black people who were renting the air B&B,because they didnt wave at her.]
[oh,yeah....and they were BLACK!!]

BUT,if you observe these people doing something that you think is ILLEGAL,please feel free to call the police, and let THEM worry about it,cuz that is THEIR job,[ NOT yours!!!!!],and THEY KNOW what they are LEGALLY obligated to do,and what they have the legal right to do,whereas,YOU obviously do not!!

THAT is the ONLY THING that you have 'the right' to do,since it is in 'your neighborhood'!

[and,BTW....just because you see somebody loading up a trailer with something that you think is ammonium nitrate fertilizer DOESNT mean that these people are breaking the law...,
that is actually PERFECTLY LEGAL,so PLEASE DO NOT take it upon yourself to do ANYTHING about it,except call the police, and tell them your suspicions,so that THEY can investigate it,and handle it appropriately!!!
cuz, when you call the police, the first thing THEY are going to tell you is NOT TO TAKE THE LAW INTO YOUR OWN HANDS,because YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO,and if you DO,YOU MAY BE SUBJECT TO LEGAL ACTIONS,AND CONSEQUENCES,which would make YOU the one who is breaking the law,not THEM!!]

so,if the OP is THAT WORRIED about what the people who are legally renting the house are doing, she should call the police, and let THEM worry about it!!
[and THEN SHE wont have to worry about it any more!!!]

It is a sad state of the world when people straight away assume the worst of people they have never met!
And they wonder why people get left behind in life without even being given a chance.

the fact that 'you dont get close to strangers' sort of speaks at some problems that are your own...

especially, since you are on here telling us a story about how you are shunning contact with someone who appears to be friendly towards you,but yet,you are mistrustful of them, and trying to find something sinister about them, without even taking the time to get to know them first, just because of your own preconcieved notions regarding people you have not personally known your whole life.
[just saying!]

why dont you try to actually be friendly, and talk to them, sometime?
cuz,you just might find out that THEY are good people, too!

like i said....
it sounds more and more like the problem isnt your neighbor's,and that you are just on here trying to find ways to rationalize it so that you can pretend that the problem isnt actually yours.

if it bothers you THAT MUCH,then call the police!!!

but,if you think that your 'suspicions' arent worth the time,or trouble to call and bother the police with, well then i stick with my prior assessment that it DEFINITELY isnt any of your business!!

I think a concern. I don't have to call anybody, my other good neighbor will if necessary, in the near future.
