I know this is a simple product but my favorite beauty product is Nivea Crème .
This stuff is so cheap and so efficient. I love the perfumated scent of it as well.
Nivea Crème is a product that both my mother and my grandmother already used daily when I was a child. I have fond memories of it.
A big jar which you go months with, costs 7.5$ USD here.
And in my opinion Nivea Crème is as good for the skin if not better than those little jars from Olaz, Lierac, Avene and Vichy which you pay 100$ for.

Sometimes the most simple beauty products go a longer way than more expensive beauty products.

What is your favorite beauty product? Any fond memories you have about your particular beauty product?

I love their limited edition shampoo with Jojoba.
Head and Shoulders is good shampoo.
I also love Elseve.
I switch between those.

Hello Elissa waving I seldom buy beauty products .. I prefer to make my own ., something I have done for many years . I very much believe the old saying you are what you eat so I follow an organic lifestyle and avoid preservatives and chemicals .. that transcends to skin and hair care . I use natural organic plant oils .. make my own serums and moisturisers . I recently tried 100 times washed ghee . Such a fantastic moisturiser and couldn't be easier to make .. so healthy for your skin . You can even add it to your coffee !!! If you are interested in any recipes let me know . For hair nothing beats a deep treatment with coconut oil but for everyday use ., I use coconut cream ., $1.50 for a can . Makes another great moisturiser .

all of the bee products are super hydrating and natural for skin .. lip balms couldn't be easier to make .. I made a stain using organic beeswax and beetroot ., such a pretty colour .

It is a lot of fun to make your own beauty products . There are a billion recipes on the internet . I found one for a vitamin c serum . Which costs me $10 to make .. but online costs approx $250 .. plus mine is fresh and potent as I don't use chemical preservatives . Several of my friends are trialling it on their skin . I love it  some of the things I have tried would really make you laugh .. will
Share more later waving flowers

Years ago I tried a shampoo and conditioner by Alba. I noticed a difference the first time I used it. I loved it and used it for years. Then one time, I started a new bottle and it was different. I don't know if they watered it down or added something bad to it. It wasn't the same, so I stopped using it.

depending on how you view your skin and what you are willing to put on it .. many products contain chemicals and parabens which are not just toxic for your skin but are absorbed thru your skin . Blondey, I sometimes think about making my own shampoo and lotions, using natural ingredients, but looks like a lot of work. How long have you been doing that?

Blondey, I sometimes think about making my own shampoo and lotions, using natural ingredients, but looks like a lot of work. How long have you been doing that?
most recipes are really quick to make but as they do not contain preservatives you need to make small fresh batches ..

Try this leave in conditioner ..

1/4 cup of distilled or mineral water

2-3 tablespoons of organic coconut milk

Few drops of Essential oil (optional .. and not nec.. coconut milk has a light fragrance naturally )

Pour into spray bottle and give a good shake .. spray onto hair and leave in ..

It will keep a week in the fridge or you can freeze it in IceCube trays and it will last for months ..

Depending on your hair type you can add any natural oil .. olive .. almond .. avacado.. almond etc to turn this into a. Deep conditioning tmt .. you can also subdivide coconut milk with coconut cream for a hair treatment mask . All really simple .. it is a matter a trial and error to find what volume and mix works best for your hair ., for example .. if you find the basic recipe is too oily or heavy .. try just one spoon of coconut milk to 1/2 cup water . Or use two spoons with more water . Let me know if you give it a go . It is the cheapest conditioner I know .

As for how long I have done this ..all of my adult life biggrin
