"Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, "
Ironic isn't it? A woman being punished exercising freedom of speech,
Trying to bring the world's attention to the plight of immigrant families being separated.
Yep, punished as she should be.
You see, nobody here has a problem with free speech.. nobody. It is our right, it is in our constitution. And nobody here has a problem with protest as long as the protest does not disrupt the lives of other people
Which this did
This protest took place on a national monument.. one not there for climbing. It is there for all to enjoy, not for one person to take over and use as their own soap box.
This protest changed the vacation plans of 1,000's of people. This protest scrambled 100's of law enforcement personnel and cost a lot of money to address. This protest could have hurt someone
So, when someone does that here in N.Y.C., then tend to get a nice hard bed at the Brooklyn House of Detention hotel ( sorry.. no pool) for a few days. ;)
She is where she belongs and no pity from me.. she put herself there.
I am sure her 15 minutes of fame are gone and stark reality has set in for her. This little escapade will cost her dearly in criminal record ( city and federal) and fines.
She accomplished nothing other the being seen for what she is.. a fool
