The one I rode had a canopy., I didn't like it at all. My friend use to drag race cars so nothing much bothers him! ! A real dare devil !.

To be called water craft is a joke. Duck boats are nothing more than a bus with a hull. They don't have the power of a boat to get them out of danger if a sudden storm appears. They also lack the maneuverability and boyency to handle open water and waves that can arise in a moments notice.They should be outlawed

How is it o.k. to put anyone in any type of floating " craft" without life preservers. let alone kids 2 years old and elders 70 years old.

How is that possibly legal for any commercial operation?

It's not legal.

Then the owner and captain should face involuntary manslaughter charges for each person killed.

Not that it matters much to the dead

The captain died. The owner I have a hunch is going to be in some serious crap.

Such a tragedy. A tragedy that should of not happened.

The man friend I rode with on this boat ride yrs ago called me tonight.

He heard about the accident too. He lives in City near me. We talk a long time.

That was so awesome he remembered how scared I was and thought of me.

He said that boat was not in good condition, like it was when he and I were in Branson ,mo yrs ago.

It was a tragedy!!! Couln't believe he called been 2yrs. Since we've talked.

In watching the news here on it and it seems that this is not the first time.. by a long shot that these type boats caused injury or death.
The main manufacture of these boats has been sued a few times.It seems that the main concept of design with these boats dates back to WW2 and not much has changed.

I am sure that the coast guard will come down hard on all companies that use these and new rules and inspections called for. but it is after the fact and it should never have happened in the first place.

So, while I hold the owner of the company at fault, blame also goes to the entities that are supposed to be enforcing the rules on these crafts. Be it state or Federal.. or both.

It's usually after a Tragedy, that companies correct flaws!

There was a woman on tv being interviewed after that accident and she said she still had plans to go on that boat ride while in Branson .

Guess people should not have Fear of things, but I do!


Tragedy happening doen't stop people from still doing things. Companies are still making millions.

I watched that interview with the survivor who lost all of her children and her parents. Just a unspeakable loss. I can not comprehend what she is going thru.

Just terrible

I listened to talk Radio today, and heard her speak on what happened ,she said she had got out, but she couldn't get to any floating device to save her children,. it was just Terrible !!

I don't know what is worse for the company owner, the charges he ( or they) are going to face or living what happened. Surely he will have to face both.
