it doesnt seem that is the trend, or we would also see that sending the troops out caused a decrease in GDP, which looking at 2003, when Bush started sending them out, was not really the trend as GDP went both up and down after that point.

a recession is two or more quarters of negative economic growth

we saw negative growth from august of 08 through october of 09

the fiscal year of 09 was still under the perview of Bush as was the year of '08

from Obama's first fiscal year, we got back to positive growth.

so, its not true that Obama took us anywhere near 'great depression level' since his first fiscal year actually was positive growth, coming BACK from negative ...

I thought the topic was POTUS , not congress.

I read the article about how things were so terrible because of the one metric of job participation and an assessment of what had happened in previous 'recessions'

still bares no relevance if comparing Obama to Trump, because Trump did not come into a near depression, but came in on an upswing from a recession.

And I know figures dont lie. My statement, with backing figures about the ECONOMY and its move UPWARDS(progress) still stand unrefuted.
