I haven't kept up with the footy much this season. But unless things have changed pretty drastically I think it'll be pretty much the same as last season. Liverpool are good to watch, great going forward, and a fair bet for any of the cups. But I still think they're too weak defensively to make a serious challenge for the league

Any team that invests £75 million on a defensive lynch-pin like Virgil Van Dijk and upwards of another £70 million on goalkeeper Allison will have to make do with a poorer backline than last season....................

I agree. Mad money spent on a goalie there. But the defense seems a bit more solid than last season. jmo
