No worries.

We all move to the tune of a different drummer.

I think the most important thing is how our own beliefs affect our inner peace.
May all find the inner peace in which we seek.

*I* have read the Bible from cover to cover.
These people apparently have never opened one and read any of it themselves.

Of course, I didn't mean you.

And it is not a requirement to read the Bible from cover to cover. I suppose some people have met Jesus and are satisfied with that.

But I see several people here who even admit to not reading the Bible, and yet they are the first in line to criticize Christianity. And more often than not, there is no basis for their critique. As we can see by the false pretense that the earth is 6,000 years old. Again, not a Scriptural concept.

Perhaps they just "heard it through the grapevine."

Also, all this discussion about the age of the Earth is really off topic.

I don't care about the ones 'criticizing" Christianity..

MY gripe is with the many, many people who supposedly are Christian, but yet do things and adhere to a POV that is in opposition to what Jesus actually taught...

I'm talking about the people who despise the poor, the marginalized and the disadvantaged..hate people merely for the color of their skin or country of origin..

Then, there's that whole "Prosperity Gospel" crap...
Where life is a game and if you've make God happy enough..you get the goodies here..
*I* thought we were supposed to be concerned about our reward in Heaven..huh

Funny dat.
Jesus had a LOT to say regarding rich people/ storing up treasures here on earth..and none of it was good.
