i find it ironic that people who SUPPORT Alex Jones using
a private company's platform (twitter and such) to make known
his views on a subject are AGAINST Colin Kaepernick's use of
a private company (NFL football) to do essentially the same thing..
you can't have it both ways..unless of course, you're a hypocrite..

But the left is having it both ways. And I agree. It is the same ' platform" concept
So why is Colin still allowed to use it and this guy is not. By your words it is the same. So why the double standard ?
Want to be fair..let them both stay or throw both of them off ...but the left would put up quite a scene if ole Colin was yanked. Wouldn't they

the NFL addressed the issue by changing their rulebook of
REQUIRING the players to be on the field during the pre-game
patriotic ceremonies and now allow them, if they choose. to
remain in the locker room...if the player chooses to
participate a certain amount of respect (standing) for the
Anthem will be expected....personally, i side with the league
and owners, now that this change has been made...

Alex can get his own website if he chooses to, and i
suppose Colin can buy a ticket to an NFL game and kneel
during the Anthem if he chooses to...neither mans 1st amendment
are being violated...

Now i'm waiting on Lebron to take a knee on the first game
of the NBA season, because they have the same rule FORCING
them to be on the court and stand at attention during the Anthem

really, i never understood why the Anthem is even played
at a sports event in the first place...

Are you stating that in the 4 or 6 years that your husband was in the service you were not at ANY military functions with him where the national anthem was played? You were never on base when it was played and people stood?
And when it was. You did not stand?

I think you were. And you did..because while you may not idolize material things you sure as hell liked the pay check and benifits

No. I didnt state any information about what I went to during his enlistment. If you are asking. I did NOT attend anything on base where I had to stand for an anthem. I went to functions with HIS crew and his group of friends from his ship. He had six month tours, two or maybe THREE times during those four years, where they were gone with each other from their wives and families and that doesnt include boot camp which I obviously also did not attend with him.

And as I said, I dont idolize flags or other material things and am not a 'hypocrite' for spending money that has been earned by my husband or for me.

As I said, 'all those years' amounted to four, before I moved back home because military life and all the seperation were not for me. I did not attend a SINGLE EVENT where I was required to or did stand for an anthem during the times when he was not out to tour on a boat, and certainly not during the times when he was.

we had our 'family' which was his circle of friends on the ship and we had our OWN get togethers and events, and that was enough. We never lived on military bases. And at graduation I did stand, to applaud the Live and in the flesh PERSONS who had survived and graduated boot camp, but not for the anthem or the flag. There was a large audience, and I was not the only one who had and made the CHOICE to stay seated.

I think you have confused a simple statement about how the military promotes enlistment with a 'protest'. Thats also a personal thing, I guess.

[or,it would be if it wasn't so SAD!!!]



so,if you REALLY want to thank the people who have fought and died to make sure that you can enjoy your constitutional rights,and freedoms that we have in this country,dont let small minded people who have their own agendas convince you that you HAVE TO express yourself the way that THEY think that you should,cuz that is INSULTING to us!!

and,also,contact your congressmen,senators,and state representatives and tell them to quit cutting funding for education so that they can give their super wealthy campaign donors tax breaks,and start teaching CIVICS in our schools again,cuz there are A LOT of people who have a SEVERE misunderstanding of what 'freedom',and 'the bill of rights' in our constitution actually means!!!

DISCRETION over one's website is another.

Websites have terms of agreement that are AGREED upon from the beginning. if one wishes not to be subject, they should move on. If they agree to be subject, they agree to the guidelines.
