The guy has bipolar disorder. Nothing he says can be taken seriously. With this guy no telling what's true and what's an illusion. His letter will most likely wind up missing eventually.

Orin Hatch, he kinda made a fool of himself. He came out with this letter before he knew this guy was bipolar.

Do you know what bipolar is? I do, I have relatives with it. My mom had it so watch what you say Charles. It means there are days where you have no energy and days your feel like your on top of the world and it comes with massive mood swings. It doesn't make someone less credible and frankly I cant believe you would even say a thing like that, I thought you were a better person. I guess I was wrong.

Yes, and with those mood swings comes euphoria. And with that, with some people, when in a high euphoric state, they sometimes believe things that aren't true. It may seem true to them. When in reality it's not.


I know, because I've dealt with it too. For each person it's different. Some act out whatever they think is true.

A friend of mine, she came off of her med. And while off of it she went out and bought a 10 thousand dollar car and paid 20 for it. And then swore up and down that the guy was flirting and asking her for sex. She even said that he told her that he could come down on the price if she would go down on him.

When in reality she and he were on camera the whole time. It didn't happen. But she believed it did. And in her mind it did.

When we got her home and back on her med she admitted that it wasn't true. But for many weeks while she was in her euphoric state, she believed it and did her best to try to get him fired. Even though they had video/audio on the whole thing.

The same thing goes for this guy. If he was in a high euphoric state when this allegedly happened. He may really believe it happened. When it really didn't.

Sorry about your mom. I know what you're going through.

My friend, as long as she is on her med most times she's fine. But even on her med sometimes she claims that some guy winked at her or flirted with her. Twice I was there and know that it didn't happen.

She works, holds down a job. She's lucky. She has an understanding employer. He has learned to not pay attention to everything she says. Because when the swing starts going the other way and the depression kicks in it's all she can do to get up and go to work.

When she is in a depressed state, everybody is after her. Everyone is against her. Nobody understands her. Everybody is mean and hateful. Either that or she is curled up in a knot on the couch and refuses to speak to anyone or have anything to do with anyone.

So yes, I know about it. I know well enough to know that the disease doesn't affect everyone the same way. One might believe every man/woman alive wants them. While others are different.

And one other thing. While she was in one of those euphoric states, she went out and slept with three men in one night. And then tried to say they raped her. In her mind, she believed it. Even though others saw her go into the room with these guys. And heard her laughing and having a ball. But in her mind, she believed she was raped. When there was absolutely no proof of it on her or anywhere else.

Your getting Bi polar confused with schizophrenia. Very rarely do people with Bipolar disorder have delusions unless its because of medication they are on and that can happen with medications for many different medical issues. If there are visions or altered reality there is a more serious issue then bi polar. My uncle was a good man, a great man but he had severe schizophrenia and if he wasn't medicated he thought he ws Jesus Christ and had people at a mental hospital following him around because they believed they were his disciples.

This has been something like 20/25 years ago. She was diagnosed bipolar with delusions, "something". It's been too many years ago. I don't remember the full name. It's all but ruined her life.

I knew her before all this. The first 22 years of her life she was as normal as anyone else. I met her when she was 17. We all hung out in the same crowd. Right after the birth of her first child, she started slipping away. And she hasn't been the same since.


I knew another one. A young man with a wife and a baby on the way. He was another that was just as normal as anyone else as long as he took his meds. Even though he knew what it would do to him if he came off his meds, he would anyway.

The last time, it got so bad his pregnant wife would have to leave. After she left he let some other guy move in with him. They both would sit up all night and burn sticks in a coffee can on there walkway. All night. Kept everyone nervously wondering if they might burn down someone's house or barn.

In the windup, they both wound up in jail for stealing from people all over that neighborhood. When the cops raided them, they found two rooms full of all sorts tools to use around the house. They also found a dead dog.

One of them beat a dog to death with a drag link from my scrap pile. I didn't even notice it gone until it was found in the house.

He was/is bipolar and so is his friend. They both told me they were. Bipolar doesn't affect everyone the same way. The basic disease may be the same. But I've already seen two that have underlying conditions that maybe the next person wouldn't have.

These two guys, if they had stayed on their meds neither one would have ever thought about stealing anything. Much less beating a dog to death. But when they were on that "high", neither thought they could get caught. They could do anything they wanted and no one could touch them. That's just one of the delusions that many of them have.
