Mail bomb suspect displayed rage — and love for Trump — on social media pages

"Social media pages that appear linked to Cesar Altieri Sayoc displayed evidence of emotional turmoil and political anger before he was arrested on Friday and identified as the suspect behind 12 mail bombs sent to leading Democrats, prominent activists and members of the media.

There are multiple Facebook accounts, a LinkedIn account and a Twitter page that appear to belong to Sayoc. They show his name and display many photos that strongly resemble the man who was taken into custody by the FBI on Friday. The postings appear to be from an ardent supporter of President Trump, one who despised many Democrats".

I figured it had to be a Trump supporter. It made no sense for the Democrats to bomb the Democrats.

I guess Maxine is getting the push back she asked for.

Trump and his mouth are what caused this. Trump kept shaking the coo-coo tree until a nut fell out. And because of it, many people could have lost their lives.

It’s disturbing that there is no evidence sufficient to convince that intent on believing wild conspiracy theories. Not just in this instance but in many, many instances. In effect, reality no longer exists.

Seems like IF people want to hold democrats like Maxine Waters responsible for violence by democrats, THAN they should hold the republicans like the POTUS responsible for violence by conservatives

IF people want to hold individuals accountable for their individual choice and acknowledge only that others words and actions may INFLUENCE those choices, than it should be consistently true for everyone from Maxine Waters to #45.

personally, I do believe words can influence actions, if they didn't there would not be billions spent on advertising and commercials ..lol.

HOWEVER words are of course not the only influencer, and other things in one's personal environment can either motivate or deter certain choices.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Reuters) - President Donald Trump accused the U.S. news media on Friday of using reporting on the suspect in least 14 bombs sent to some of his prominent critics to score political points against him.

Hours after a Trump supporter, Cesar Sayoc, was arrested in Florida in the bomb case, Trump told a political rally in Charlotte, North Carolina, that political violence must never be tolerated.

"I will do all I can to stop it," he said.

But any major attempt to heal political divisions was quickly set aside as Trump renewed attacks on his usual targets: the news media and his Democratic opponents.

"We have seen an effort by the media in recent hours to use the sinister actions of one individual to score political points against me and the Republican Party," Trump said.

"Mites" are on chickens. No "might" to it. Trump has the blood of many on his hands. And all from the words that have come out of his mouth. Words matter.

Before all is known we have already placed the blame on whoever based on our own bias..We have no idea what is going on in these people's minds..but I will say this the timing of both instances are rather suspect..So I'll reserve the majority of my comments and opinions until all is known..But something to think about..the packages delivered could have easily been done because the guy didn't like what the other party said about Trump and nothing more..I mean that is a thought now isn't it?

Nearly 80 percent of Americans concerned lack of civility in politics will lead to violence, poll says

"Days after a failed mail bomb plot and a deadly shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue, most Americans say they are concerned that a lack of civility in Washington, D.C., will lead to violence, including acts of terror, according to the latest poll from the PBS NewsHour, NPR and Marist".

In the poll, when U.S. adults were asked what factors primarily drive these acts of violence, more than a third — 37 percent — said they blame the way Trump conducts himself, and 21 percent pointed to the way the media reports news. An additional 12 percent of Americans said bickering between Democrats and Republicans motivated these violent acts, and another 23 percent of adults said none of these factors were to blame. A remaining 7 percent of people said they had no idea why these incidents were happening.


Similarly, 52 percent of the general public said Trump acted irresponsibly after the series of explosive packages was found. Sharp political lines were drawn among respondents with 83 percent of Democrats and 57 percent of independents saying the president was feckless in his behavior. Only 12 percent of Republicans said they felt the same.

NEW YORK (AP) — CNN isn't commenting about Don Lemon's statement that white men represent the biggest terrorist threat in the country.

Lemon said that, "we have to stop demonizing people and realize that the biggest terror threat in this country is white men, most of them radicalized to the right, and we have to start doing something about them."

A CNN spokeswoman said Wednesday neither Lemon nor the network would speak more about it.

Had that been a Caucasian show host CNN would have fired him.

Michigan GOP office cleared after bomb threat

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (AP) - A Michigan Republican Party office in Traverse City was briefly evacuated after a man carrying a sign denigrating President Donald Trump entered and made a bomb threat.

Interesting that when a bomb threat is made on a GOP office the major news media make no mention of it. Gives the impression that it's unimportant to them. Another reason I don't trust the national news networks for reliable news.

Interestingly enough, one can look in their favorite search engines news section and type in 'bomb threat', and find it is not so uncommon.

However, a person actually sending or delivering bombs, might make headlines a bit more easily.

FYI, I went directly to the web sites of NBC, CBS, ABC and CNN with nothing mentioned. I then clicked on their Search function and, again, found no news articles. The only news articles were one tv station local to me (South Bend Indiana/WNDU), one tv station in Detroit and several TV news departments and newspapers where the event happened (Traverse City, MI).

Had this been the local democratic office NBC, CBS, ABC and CNN would have had major news stories on the national news. A bias in what and how they decide to report.

I still maintain that major news companies are using, ever increasingly, artificial intelligence programs to determine what is written, how it is written and it's priority. Depending on who is doing the programming of these AI programs determines what and how something is reported. I watched a fascinating 1 hour program on PBS several months ago about news agencies replacing human writers with AI programs. The raw data is imputed and the AI program does all the rest. From what we're hearing the programmers are or have been directed to take a left of center lean.

Again, everyone claims they are unbiased but our nations past has proven that this is near impossible. The AI program developer(s) can bury hidden subroutines that can manipulate what, how, when and if news is reported. A good example of this has been Facebook. Until congress became involved anything could be reported as "News" and it was never verified.

I consider the major networks to have 'headline' type news. So I was not disagreeing. Bomb threats (verbal threats with no actual physical bomb prep or delivery) are not uncommon and dont make 'headlines'

actual bombs being prepared or delivered will make headlines. I dont think it matters where it happens. Although the more prominent the political figure, the more newsworthy its. Local politicians probably are more likely to make local news and federal politicians to make national.

Am watching this farm program called AgDay that I've mentioned previously. They opened the program with a statement that China is "coming around" on the subject of trade tariff talks. There's a big meeting in South America and things are changing: slowly.

If things keep going this direction the EU will come around sometime in the near future. Much to the disappointment of the anti-Trump people. It would seem he's been using the news media's methods against themself.

Mexico, Canada and now China have come around. "Let's Make A Deal" must be frustrating to his adversaries? From how the national media reports things it will, probably, be next week before they say anything.

Let's wait and see about the EU!

That's great news. It will eventually add more jobs and hopefully higher wages, as employers compete for good workers.
