On the news it said the guy is mentally unstable and had been to court before. He needs help but is definitely a danger to society. He was living in his van because his parents put him out. They had tried to get him mental help before.

Some of the photos are of the packages intercepted at postal distribution centers. They hadn't been processed yet, which is why they don't have postal markings.

The other packages had been distributed all over the country, from New York to California to Florida. And remember, not every package went to someone with a Secret Service detail.

Though it is interesting that Obama and the Clintons -- who do have Secret Service -- received packages, according to what I read. Unless I got it wrong? Some news sites are so hard to read because of all the pictures and ads these days...

In the last few months I have mailed 4-5 very important letters / documents thru the U.S. mail. 2 of these they " lost" one for 2 weeks even thought I provided tracking numbers. They basically told me "we don't know where it is"

But here they are delivering pipe bombs with no problem.

I mean,, this nut pulled up to the post office in that van ( and take a look at it). walked in with these big envelopes address to major politicians and some entertainer.. clearly people who did not know him.. and it didn't raise a eyebrow?.

The U.S. postal service has their own police and investigation department. How the hell does 10 of these things go thru their system

I sincerely hope that this situation wakes up some people in Washington to be asking the same question

To me, this is a serious security breach and totally unacceptable.

just FYI, names are given by parents, they are not clear indication of heritage, especially where mothers often take the husbands last name.
