Plus some discussion on the accuracy of "The Sky Is Falling".

Moderated by Chicken Little?

Hey, we don't use people's real names here.
Why ya wanna rain on the parade?
Besides, I think the Flat Earth debate is washed up.
It just doesn't hold water.

Well, let's face it, it never did. Imagine the rimfall as all the waters of the earth rushed over the edge and poured into space.

Maybe that is why elephants and turtles like water?

You see, there's always a "logical" explanation. It's turtles all the way down.

One thread to rule them all, one thread to find them, One thread to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.
This is The Lord of the Threads!

Emotions are like waves, you cannot stop them from coming, you can only choose which one to ride.

Rain doesn't fall, it's embedded in the sky, which is constantly falling, (since space is infinite and has some molecules in it which fall to Earth), so rather than hanging in the orbit of earth, it (the rain) is dragged down with the sky.
Some sky doesn't have embedded rain, like over deserts.
Sometimes the sky over deserts has embedded sand or locusts, which come down with a gust of sky. There are pockets of sky with fish, frogs, snow, sleet, hail of all sizes, and a whale, number 42.
Hendrix knew; he wanted to kiss the sky.
Tornadoes and hurricanes are the sky's method of replenishing its stocks of assorted future droppings.
But big balls of frozen piss falling from the sky come from tourist planes.

The firmament is called firm for a reason.
The satellites are hanging from the firmament with sky hooks.
It's like an old fashioned sausage shop up there, with so much hanging, dishes and aerials everywhere. Sometimes a small bit sparkles as it falls to earth.
The ISS is in a clearing, hanging from the firmament so it can spin around like a top.
