In part,
"But Cohen, once among the president’s most loyal allies, turned on Trump after pleading guilty and provided prosecutors with detailed accounts of his possible wrongdoing. Michael Cohen Thought President Trump Would Pardon Him, But Changed His Mind
"Former President Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, now a main witness in special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russian investigation, once thought that his former boss would pardon him if he stayed loyal, according to CNN. In March 2018, after returning to New York City from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club in South Florida, Cohen thought the President would protect him from federal prosecutors if he stayed on message. In the wake of the April 2018 FBI raid on his office, Trump’s cronies promised Cohen he would be OK, one source told CNN".

Manafort Pardon 'Not Off The Table' Says Trump, as Mueller Targets Stone and Corsi

You know, for two men who are supposed to be "smart" men, they are dumb. Dumb for believing Trump would pardon them. If he did, it would show how corrupt he really is and make him look even more guilty. But, since he seems to think he is "all mighty powerful" In a way, I wouldn't put it past him to try. Since his mouth seems to run before his brain kicks in.
At this point, I believe Trump is going to look out for Trump and cover his own azz as much as he can. He's worried about the trouble that he's in. Trump knew everything and tried to hide it.
The Democrats say they aren't interested in impeaching Trump at this time. But with all this new info coming to light, me personally, I'm not sure they will not. It remains to be seen.
Truth is stranger than fiction.
