Maybe you blokes on the east coast have different slang, but I spent 3 months last year in Bristol, plus 20 yrs married into a British family and that whole time did I hear one of them say "photo snapper" or "make some pictures". And we all loved to tease each other about our lingo. It just sounded like you were telling porkies to me.
