For being shy and not very social i tend to stay clear of social interactions. I dont trust men or women. Being bullied as a child, teenager and as an adult in name calling and teasing didnt help. Being physically abused by my daughters father for 4 yrs i was with him made me a homebody. I have been attacked by men that you wouldn't think they had it in them. But you do recognize scumbags who have bad intentions. Just depends how respectful people are. I know here in the south we tend to be more social and polite. You just need to be aware of your surroundings and who your around with.

I firmly believe, Capitalism is Always fine and wonderful, when one has enough Capital.

To speak bluntly, guys want sex, but they don't wait for the woman to decide if she wants to give that up. I hope. Once you give them what they want , photos or dances, or whatever. Just flirty stuff. No harm, but you have boundaries in words and suggestions.
They want you to do things. Why, I don't know you. I am typing to you on the computer!!! Dah. I like planning, but the other side, you should plan some things, it keeps it flowing. Women like that. ...Something to look forward to I say. ! Accept me for a bad habit or two. Some might say. You got anything wrong with you? :)

I don't have any irrational "hate of women" for being able to get sex so easily when compared to men.

I simply don't have to believe women's lies.

In my case, finding women who are willing to be friends, is quite a challenge, currently. But, that is due to Capitalism and Its influence on society, and men and women.

What most others have already said, a mixture of that.
And especially approach women more your own age, and what you exude. From what you pst here, you tend to have an old-fashioned and negative view of women. A woman will pick up on that a mile away.

Apart from that, in the new area people might be slightly different and maybe a bit suspicious of newcomers. I've had that in a street with somewhat posh people when I was a single mother. A number of the married-with-children women treated me like chit, ignored me if they could. I sensed they were afraid of a single woman. As if "single woman" automatically equals "she's after my man".
Maybe there people equate single man with a guy after sex.

Maybe they are just wary of motives, and nasty surprises. There are after all all sorts out there.

I chat to women all the time. It is just natural, motiveless banter, I cant help but throw a few quips in to get a laugh.
As soon as you have a motive in mind it is detected. And the chat changes.

It's a very sensitive detector. lol

Try Craigslist, I hear it has opportunities for those not affected by capitalism.
