So I dusted off my Doom movie (with 'The Rock') and watched it again.
This got me itchy to play Doom 3 so I dusted off the game and installed it on my Win7 64 bit computer.
It installed fine.
The splash screen came up and I clicked play and it started to start and shut down.
So I set it for winXP compatability mode and ran it as an administrator.
Splash screen came up, I clicked play, the demoshield logo flashed and it shut down.
So I started task manager and viewed running processes.
Launched the game as administrator and demoshield flashed and it shut down and about a second later the process dissappeared.
So I added it to application verifier, changed the compatability to WinVista and it did the same thing.
I really, Really want to play this game now.
Thing is, I had it working on this PC a few years ago.
I tried restarting my pc.
I tried defragging.
I tried running it from the disc.
Anyone have any ideas on how I can get this game working again?
