Same here, nothing worse than a blank profile. It does not attract attention or the curiosity of wanting to look at their profile. Instant turn off.

Yes..and then they say "I am an open book...ask me anything.."
And then when you *do* start to ask them stuff...you know, to determine if the two of you have *anything* at all in commomn?
Then suddently it becomes "this ain' no da*** job interview.."
Yes, boo..it kind of is...as I don't know diddly-squat about you, and you were too lazy to write anything on your profile.

Or, I see "people lie on heree all the time/ say just what they think women want to hear...I'd rather talk in person.."
Honey..maybe YOU would lie on your profile..but most people do not.
Also?
I have learned that saying that ^ means they want to see what YOUR interests/ prefernces are first..so they can act like those are theirs as well...
That's why they put nothing..they don't want you to pass them by because they might have something that for you is a hard dealbreaker listed.

What I don’t like here ..profile about yourself saying I will tell you later, pictures of male so much older or too young than the age given, face of male that is silky smoother than mine lol ( that used too much filter), someone sticking out his tongue, or halfnaked

My complaint is they all sound the same.

Yes, I get it. You are independent, you don't need a man, you want one. You want a guy that's funny, smart, and knows how to treat a woman. You are spontaneous and you love the outdoors.

You and 50 million other people.

I remember profiles being interesting reads. Now they are extremely lacking in anything that sets a person apart as an individual.

Or they just complain about how there are no real men left (or women, maybe I don't know I don't read guys profiles). I know there are idiots that send pictures of their junk. It's embarrassing, I know it happens, I don't need to read about it in your profile. I'm sorry it happens. But damn. Tell me about you.

what turns me off? to much skin. that takes my attention from your pretty face. bra straps really turn me OFF. other people, dogs / cats ect. if you are a little on heavy side dont wear a solid color. use a pattern to beak the color up. nothing gets my attention like a pretty face / smile. and blond hair.

Poor punctuation and grammar. That's if they get past "Hi".

Sounds like a broken record, doesn't it? You forgot travel, by the way. Haul me around to exotic places-on your nickle.

That "Real" men ploy. Gawd does that get old. That one usually comes from the ones that outweigh you. Spontaneous. AKA- entertain me. "Why can't you just toss everything aside to do whatever?" Answer- When I hit the lottery. (Which could be never)

Something else that I've been noticing lately when I do a search, some of these people have 2+ profiles. If you're looking for a legitimate relationship, why in the world would you need to have 2,3 or more profiles?? I notice it more amongst the scammers.... I just find it rather amusing....

Lack of photo and specific information.

Without an updated photo of the actual person nor synopsis
about themselves and what they're looking for in a relationship,
there's no way of knowing the actual person.

I would almost have to hire a swami sooth-sayer from the East
to divine the answers before even knowing the questions.

The main thing is this:
No portrait/picture, no synopsis/info = No Date.

And some of the ladies to seemingly take an interest in me,
are a bit too young for me (nearly 40 years my junior).

I tell ya', we're living in strange times nowadays...

Oh, but *see*?

You "learn more about someone by talking to them"..
And "everyone liars on these things"
And "Sure, i could write a bunch of things on my profile I think you'd want to hear..but, I'd rather talk to you in person"...

Let's clarify that, shall we?

1. Why would I POSSIBLY have *nay* interest in starting a chat with someone who I haven't the first clue if we have anything at all in common....or what they look like...
My time is valuable...I am not interested in starting a chat with dozens of dudes with blank profiles on the *outside*, random chance we may have stuff in common.

2. No, NOT everyone, homie.
*I* do not liar....and, if you think everyone lies...I wonder if that is not projection on your part, eh?

3. What THAT one actually means is..."I don;t want to write anything on my profile that may be off-putting to you..or might run you off...
I'd rather talk in person, feel you out, so I can pretend to be what you want...."

I would like to see this work for people. you only get out of it what you put into it I like to say. not always true anymore. It's still a great site with EXCELLENT people. It seems a handful compared with the past though.

It's too bad that Scammers are finding loopholes in everything, and it does affect dating validity... so what next to prove we are real?

I think time here helps separate the "opportunists" from people who are here to actually meet, even though it can be annoying...

It's still a great place to come to converse, even for idiots like me.drinker

In life or online, narcissism is a turn off, as well as bigotry and lazy thinking, or illogical political or religious bias.
