I am trying to read Audrey Niffeneggar's
Her Fearful Symmetry,
because I enjoyed
The Time Traveller's Wife
I think I will give up. It is boring thus far
Salutations! Funny place this is. Just exploring. I almost wrote a poem on the writing section, deleted it.... I never let anyone read what I write. mostly because it sucks. But I got close. I have to be more open I guess. That is why I am here. I'll work on it. Thank you for saying hi.
Nobody's Victim ...Carrie Goldberg
Book about stalking, blackmail, and sexual violence she's a lawyer that met a guy through a online dating app and he was insanely jealous when she ended the relationship he threatened "war" . So book about victim protection on the internet. Good read if anyone has ever been stalked, threatened, dealt with a crazy psycho.
I absolutely love reading . My family are big readers , mom , dad , sister and my children love reading too .
I’m so glad my children have a passion for reading as sadly it’s not something you see so much of these days .
I always read to my children when they were younger .
My two youngest children suffered with some learning difficulties, dyslexia and other things , and they used to find it so frustrating that they couldn’t just sit down with a book and read it , however they would always look through the pages of them and interpret things their own ways .
It’s an absolute joy for them that they can now read and I love to see them sat there reading something .
I think reading is such an important thing , it’s just a shame it seems to be a dying thing these days with kids more interested in their phones and computer games ( well adults too)
I always loved the Judy Blume books when I was younger , I still have her collection of books and even though I’m an adult now and they were young adult things I still often go back and read them . I started reading again Deenie and Forever . Both short books as the audience they are aimed at so will finish them today , but I do love them .
You just reminded me of "Alvin Fernald, Superweasel" -about a kid who dressed up as a superhero who also happened to be a weasel -and would set about trying to be a do-gooder with the help of his friend
I’m also a book lover
But I’m more of a fantasy fan, I just finished reading The latest book in the Jane yellow rock series and I’m looking forward to reading something new
The Book Of Stones: Who They Are & What They Teach by Robert Simmons and Naisha Ahsian.
Basically an encyclopedia about gemstones etc. Info includes key words, which element it represents, which chakra is associated. A plethora of information.
