My family has been dogged by hauntings and strange phenomena since before I was born and still is.
why do you think this evil is attached to your family?
I think that "evil" is too strong a word to describe the sporadic and odd events that still happen now and again. In my case, now it's often objects that go missing, only to turn up where they should have been, days or weeks later. Even the haunting I and two of my older brothers experienced as children, whilst initially alarming, was never threatening. It consisted of laboured breathing coming up the stairs, crossing the bedroom and then the sound simply ending. This happened off and on for two or three years and then stopped. As for why these events happened, it's impossible to say, except perhaps that both Ireland and Britain are known for such peculiar events, so they are more common than most would think. Certainly, nothing that I've experienced was as frightening as Catholic Iconography of my youth such as the Sacred Heart pictures etc.
hahaha true, man has a habit of making the idea of God to be one of horror lol
but i was raised in a family of Believers, and i also am of Irish decent (McGlynn last name), and for the better much of my life it seemed from Indiana to Arizona, from being single to married to divorced, i have witnessed the unthinkable, the alarming, the unnatural, the unexplainable.
ill just touch on something that never left my mind nor ever will.
when we first moved to Mesa, Az we had to rent. it was my wife, 3 sons, my Father, and myself.
we found a home 2 homes away from my Cousin's home and took it.
when we pay money and take home possession, the landlady said, she was a high priestess and thought this home was evil and had it feng shui. we just rolled our eyes and said whatever.
within a week we saw things from objects falling onto the ground, my son was trapped in a closet i had to remove from the hinges because somehow the knob froze and would not turn so we could open the door to release him (he claimed a boy (dead) had woke him up to play and they were in the closet when he realized he was stuck inside), the cabinet doors and stove door just flew open and the one time cause my rottie to drop his lunch right there from being scared.
but the highlight before we left was the Monsoon incident.
from the mailbox by the street, and the running sidewalk in front of it, led a small walkway to our front door. and by the front door was this bigger than needed window just waiting for rotts and obes to bust through.
anyways, the storm was a brewing pretty good when my wife and i heard my Dad yell, "in Jesus Name!!"
then he yells for me and i come running and he is standing in front of this too big of a window looking out. and i go to the window and when i look out, it appears to be this person of somewhere around 10 feet tall or taller walking towards the front door. and the pouring rains were just being unloaded from the skies.
anyways, my Dad and i began rebuking this thing because who is 10 fall today and human?
suddenly, this thing just takes off as fast as it can for the next 10 steps and you can hear the front door not just take this blow, but it felt like the foundations of the home and its walls were just shaking.
i looked at my Dad as we both were heading to the front door and he grabbed my hand as we continued praying. we were at the door and i said, i'm opening it. and when i did, and we looked to find this tall creature, it was no more.
but what was left, was this old fashioned typing paper that you would tear the seam along the edges. and now it's my wife and Dad and myself picking up what must be 10 boxes worth of this old fashion typing paper.
now remind you, it is pouring rain in a Monsoon out there, myself and wife and Dad are getting drenched, but this paper that has been sitting directly in the rain fall itself,
never had a single wet spot on any of that paper.
anyways, we get this paper into the home and realize on both sides of every sheet, page after page, were names listed all down along the left side margin. my Father told my wife to start up the fireplace. she did and it not soon until she had nice cozy fire going. then my Dad ordered us to gather this paper and toss it into the fire and burn it. so we did.
when suddenly, you could literally hear like it was many people at once
screaming, do not burn us, we have already been burning since our death!!
of course, this led to full prayer, rebuking, binding, and making sure every single last paper was destroyed by fire.
did we get a list of names of people already burning in hell?
don't know!!
but i can still hear them screaming in such horror and yelling about they have been burning since death, so don't burn us any more!!
