John Kay who's voice you're hearing here is a very interesting guy. His father was a German soldier who never came home (WW II) and he and his mother escaped from East Germany long before the wall came down when he was 12. He said he couldn't speak English until he was 15/16 and the rest is rock n roll history!

Here's a huge hit from a couple of Kansas City boys. I can remember when this was new and we had radio censors, they banned this when they figured out what "toke" meant! By then it had been out a few months and everyone had heard it.
