The Fifth?

So, it's come to this: it's now the EU meddling with Ireland for political reasons, regardless of the bloodshed and civilian deaths that this will inevitably cause.

Great excitement - we have now reached the point that May reached - agreement with Brussels. The details are however slightly different and as a result Boris will lose the support of the DUP MPs who supported May. But he 'might' get support from others, so, as before, we live in interesting times.

Things are heating up here in the North of Ireland, with the Loyalists/D.U.P. doing a lot of sabre rattling, they believe they have be sold out.. Interesting times indeed.

Yes no doubt, grim faces checking weapon cache's and dusting off action plans.

That's the threats they are making.. The D.U.P. didn't consult with business leaders or farmers over the past few weeks, they have been speaking with Loyalist Paramilitaries, so things are getting very tense here... Go figure eh.

Despite the fact that the media here have been 'vague' with the details of the RHI scandal that lead to the suspension of Storming, I think most people here understand what's been happening over the last few years. The Conservatives have always been hand in glove with the Unionists and if it takes cash thrown at them to preserve at least the pretence of 'peace', I'm sure it seems worth it to them, especially as it's not their money that's being used as a slush fund. I don't think it comes as a shock that neither party is trustworthy and both are prepared to sell the other out in favour of their own interests. As usual, it's the people of Ireland who will suffer the consequences.

Is right Seamus, the coming days should tell a big story.

And that story will probably be 'Back to the Future'.

That's the sad part, I grew up here in the bad old days, a scary thought to see the return of loyalist murder gangs roaming the streets.

It's a bad day when all we have left is hope that the monsters won't eat us just yet.

What we need is a miracle and for politician's to give a damn that their offhand decisions can mean life and death for those less fortunate than themselves.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed there will be a Brexit on the 31st. I thought it was the 19th, but no matter, as long as the UK leaves.
I just read the majority of the English (by which I mean UKers) is for leaving and wants it over with. All this BS bickering for 3 years now must've cost quite the fortune.
Personally I want the UK to leave cos as far as I see it it's imperative for everyone that the power of the EU and the ones behind the scenes of that (mostly in the US, and prolly fed by Germany) gets split and broken.
Few countries can do this. Time that Britania rules the waves again and makes a stand which will serve all of us.
So I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I too hope that Democracy is still alive here and that we leave the EU. I myself voted to leave because of the undemocratic and unaccountable nature of the EU but even if I had voted to remain, I would still respect the outcome of the vote, otherwise we have no Democracy and no choice after this. Added to the terrible things done to Greece, Italy, Spain and Portugal recently and what they are allowing to happen to dissenters in France and Catalonia and their plans to destroy the UK, then I think it's the right and only choice.

I wished we would get a vote on the matter. More and more people are against the EU and its bad influence on our country.
Unfortunately the one who runs our country has his nose so deep up the EU's @$$ it's a miracle he still appears white. And the ones that usually vote are his followers (Christians), the sane ones and people who want change for the better often don't vote as they've lost faith in the system.
We've gotten infused with a new party with a leader who is astounding and really speaks to and for the people. I hope hope hope he can bring the change we need so much over here.
That's why I also really want the UK to leave. When you do, others will follow. I've heard Italy is already talking of it?
And sure there'll be anti-UK stuff, they too know their power will be broken when you successfully leave.
And I believe in the UK. You've always been world leaders throughout history. If there's a country that can pull it off it's the UK. Least that's how I see it.

It seems that the EU doesn't like the individual character of countries within the bloc and is doing it's best to alter them, even though it's taken hundreds of years in some cases for us to create countries that work for the people who live there. I think, despite Parliament doing its best to prevent us leaving,that it looks like we will leave at the end of October, probably without a 'deal' with Europe.

Now that's good news :)
