It's all in what you're used to, and dealing with.

Your Royals have a ton of history behind them. But deciding on what person gets to what place, by doing this or that, makes about as much sense to me as a cricket match.

(and I've watched cricket enough to be soundly confused on how that screwy game is played.)

It's a about the same as your House of Commons. I've watched that on C-Span. That comes off like one, big, ongoing argument. Things get done, I don't see how, but they do.

It's all in what you're used to. Our politics can be just as confusing. We know what's going on. (for the most part) Our media happens to be the devil's advocate. What they happen to be after, is viewership and ratings. To do so, they will lie like nobodies business They could care less if its right or wrong. It's all about the ratings. Good ratings brings advertising dollars. A close second, is that most all hate Trump.

It's been said many times, "If Trump cured cancer, they'd STILL hate him." He's done many thing to make out country grow, and be prosperous. The dems hate him, because they weren't able to do it themselves. Dems hate rich people. I love 'em, because I can sell them my work, and make my living catering to them. A lotta dems can't seem to grasp that idea. So they sit and gripe about how THEY make rich people richer. I can say to them-"Go out, and sell them your services". But most let that go in one ear and out the other. You can't force people to do it for themselves.

To this day, I still can't make people listen, if they don't want to.

Three years ago they held a referendum which asked the people of the UK if we wanted to leave the EU or stay in it. It was the biggest vote in our history, with almost everyone who was eligible to vote casting their ballot. Against all expectations, 52% (17.4 million) voted to leave. For the past three years, Parliament and the majority of our MP's have done everything in their power to ignore that vote and keep us in the EU.
It's not about Europe, it's about Democracy. If we stay in Europe against the will of the People, then we no longer have a Democracy. I'm sure that you will understand what will follow from that.


That's my whole point.

Why did the people vote for and the parliament still try to send a counter referendum.
Obviously leaving the EU is not a smart idea.

Yet it's worse if a state refuse to follow what the peope want.
Seems now what the 52% majority wants is a departure from the EU.

A wrong move economically speaking, in essence?

Still I agree fully on the principle. To ignore the people's choice its like firing a bullet in their legs.

it is that riffraff and asking the EU parliament in Brussels which i don't get.

If the people want out and the state no... Then why drag it on?
And once they do, will the ppl want to be back in the EU?

After doing all the measures to opt out?
That too is to be taken into account, and uncertain ....

All I can tell you is that those in Parliament who are resisting leaving the EU have a financial interest in remaining. The leader of the Green Party (Jo Swinton) has a husband whose company received £3.5 million from Europe last year alone. This is only one example amongst many. Some appear to be ideologically motivated and believe that a European superstate is needed to secure the future of Europe against other states like Russia, China and America.
In consulting Brussels and attempting to negotiate with them, the opposition parties in Parliament are breaking all the rules that state that only the Government can negotiate with foreign powers. This is why many now view them as traitors. They seem to think that if they can delay it enough, then we will give up on wanting out.
As to the economic future of the UK outside of Europe, that remains to be seen but leaving shouldn't necessarily be bad for us. Europe needs our trade even note than we need theirs in the sense that they sell us more than we sell them at the present. We used to be a massive industrial and trading country, so there's no reason that an independent UK can't be again. If we were allowed to trade with the Commoneealth which both America and Europe prevent us from doing at the present, then this is an enormous market.
Our future outside the EU is uncertain, the future usually is but given the genius of the people of these isles, we stand a better chance than most of prospering.

I believe that what is really bothering and not many people talking about it; is that the British people seem very fine with the economic deals that have been made involving them and the other members of the EU, but them having to obey the rules governing who comes into their country and how they are dealt with by a power not present in their country has made them totally disregard their future economic goals to be a little safer and more in control of their country. I HAVE SO MUCH RESPECT FOR YOU BRITAIN
