Entrophy - [ noun ] (thermodynamics) a measure of the amount of energy in a system that is available for doing work; entropy increases as matter and energy in the universe degrade to an ultimate state of inert uniformity
Basically Tte deterioration of reality.

We exit in a Universe of diminishing returns.

No matter what you do or how you think, things decay.

Even if you think about giving lie, it will decay and die.
In the scope of things, where is the benefit?

At what point does it start to be beneficial?
Everything dies.
You die, the dirt dies, the star dies.
How is it all worth the effort?

Y'all go about yer lives thinking everthing matters but does it?
Does it really?

Yeah, I'm weird, I think about things that most people don't.
But think about it.
How does it actually matter?
What the hell is it all for?

Entrophy means:
- the dust that accumulates becomes a star.
- dust accumulates

-As you breathe, your breath accumulates contributing to the carbon dioxide saturation of the atmosphere.
-The atmosphere is being blown to space by the Sun on a regual basis.

-The Sun is hot
-The Sun is 1/2 way into its life and is only going to get hotter as it passes thru what is called its main sequence as it dies.

-Steel errodes
-Dust forms
-The reason why you have to constantly cut your grass, dust your nic nacks and change your oil in your car is becase we live in a Universe of entrophy.

Its a deteriorating condition that is universal, everwhere.
There is absolutely no condition known to man where entrophy dors not exist.
Its Universal.

Life trends to increasing complexity, and is obviously reliant on the energy that is available thanks to the trend towards entropy of the rest of the universe.

so you could look at it like this:

the entropy is there to make it possible for the complexity of life to exist.

that's what it's for.

only life has meaning.

for the universe to become aware of itself.

It needs us.

besides we sometimes sweep away the dust. for a time

maybe the ultimate fate of the universe is inertness, but maybe not, we dont know for sure, theories come and theories go. We still dont know whether the universe will collapse into a big crunch, and explode, starting the whole process again.

but there is a long period between the birth and the death of the universe.

Question.. without changes in matter/energy state, would time exist? Or have any meaning?

Wonderful way to put it, I completely agree & couldn't have answered it better.

I believe time would really not have much meaning without change, almost seemly not existing.

I wonder what would happen if the dust was never swept away, think about that:thinking:

So you take on the journey stare up at the mountain and start the climb..through wind and freezing weather..a few slips here and there a couple of close calls and nearly falling off to your death..you manage to make it to the summit where the wise man lives..tattered and torn, fingers bleeding and out of breath..you manage to say "ole wise man of the mountain "what is the meaning of life"..and he replies "funny you should ask because I was fixing to ask you the same question"..spock

I am a little late in responding to this, but from my limited perspective I don't see how time could exist without movement. In fact, that is all that it is!?

Time is based on movement.
Duration is based on change, or lack of change.
If nothing, at any level of reality moved, would time still exist?
If we think of time as a duration of an event.
The duration between one event and the next, it can be labeled as time.

Entropy is based on duration and change of state.
If the entire Universe were frozen at absolute zero, entropy and in effect time itself would cease.
What scientists label as absolute zero isn't actually absolute zero.
In scientific terms, AZ means thermodynamics no longer exist.
True absolute zero means the cessation of ALL movement.
No particle spin, no wave forms = no movement.

If nothing moves, entropy can't exist.
If entropy doesn't exist, no change of state happens and time cannot be figured.

The problem is, no matter where you go or what you do there is always movement at some level.
At true AZ, not only would you not be able to detect anything because nothing would hit your detectors but you too would be at AZ.
If you were not, the heat from your existence would move toward the nearest mass causing a chain reaction of movement that would cause heat/energy and register as a change of state the results in entropy/time.

I can now reveal the meaning of life is living!

I'm curious as to why you might think entropy has anything at all to do with the meaning of life?
Entropy is a condition of reality and the meaning of life is a consideration of event reasoning.
I assure you, the meaning of life is continued existence (living) so yes, you are right but it has no significance to the topic at hand.
