Most of the debate positions by the candidates took one of two directions:

1. They have to get rid of President Trump. This seems to dominate all of their platforms.
2. Socialistic spending. Tax and spend. Bernie Sanders was the only honest candidate of them all. He said his everything socialism will be paid for by tax increases.

I watched a PBS discussion afterwards and even the democratic leaning commentators said that all 20 of the candidates are leaning far to the left of the democratic party itself. I'm guessing that after most are eliminated the few who get to the DNC convention will have moderated their Tax and Spend position in order to appeal to most Americans.

I still feel the 2020 will be another defeat for the DNC. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if some of these new left leaning representatives will get the boot because their districts will have seen what really makes them tick.

Once again, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. When you get right down to it, this is all the Republican party has now. If the Republican party had its way we would go back to the days of the KKK. Just like they did Obama. They couldn't attack the man for what he stood for.
