I saw this on tv of a little cat stuck high in a tree. It was over a road and two police officers caught him in a blanket to save him. The cat was brought to the animal shelter and he was adopted by a family. Good story. It was on "Live PD".

Cats are good climbers but not always good climbing down. I've seen this before. They need some time getting down. Not all cats but it can be a process.

I like all animal rescue stories, especially cats and dogs and horses.

All my furry friends are rescue animals. DC, My oldest one, comes from a local animal charity. Shira was left at my local vet, because she was pregnant. So I adopted her and her two kitties

Good to hear Larsi. I helped to rescue a baby goat whose mother died. I bottle fed him until he got older. His name was Clown. He went to live on a nearby farm. I helped out 3 baby raccoons who got orphaned, and they were given to me by an animal control officer. I had to bottle feed them. They were named Clyde, Critter and Claude. The agreement was, I had to release them into the wild after a certain age. I was attached, but they are wild animals, not pets.

Animal rescue by other animals. I just heard of a stray dog in very cold weather, rescue 5 kittens. He used his body warmth to keep kittens safe and warm until they were found. The kittens may have died.

I will always only own a rescue, probably a dog, but don’t hold me to it :)

I see them as just us in another body, and I will always protect them and treat them as so. They are far smarter than most will ever realize, and they are always watching and learning. So many of our Familiars were lost in Katrina. Many were just left behind... how can one leave a member of family behind? Sometimes I don't get it.

He was drowning in the river at about 4 days old. Then this happened later.
