Orlando Sentinel endorses 'not Donald Trump' for president ahead of reelection kickoff
"Hours before President Trump was due to hold a rally in Orlando billed as the kickoff to his reelection campaign, the Orlando Sentinel announced who it is endorsing for president in 2020: not Donald Trump.
“Some readers will wonder how we could possibly eliminate a candidate so far before an election, and before knowing the identity of his opponent,” the paper said in a scathing editorial on Tuesday. “Because there’s no point pretending we would ever recommend that readers vote for Trump".

Well, ain't this a kick in Trump's azz. Florida will not endorse him. More proof that he isn't wanted. Not even in the state, he wants to start from.
War vet Sen. Duckworth on Trump draft deferments: ‘I'm sorry, but it's baloney’
"Iraq War veteran Sen. Tammy Duckworth, D-Ill., didn’t mince words about President Trump’s redirection of Pentagon resources to a U.S.-Mexico border wall after Congress declined to fund it.
“If anything, he's cut funding for our military readiness. He's stealing from the military,” Sen. Duckworth told the Yahoo News show “Through Her Eyes.”
“He's sending troops to the border to sit around in the desert,” she added. “Thousands of miles from where these migrants are, instead of going to training. He's also now been supportive of deporting veterans who serve who are green card holders.”
She also took Trump to task for his recent comments to British broadcaster Piers Morgan about military service.
“It would've been an honor to serve,” President Trump told Morgan when asked about his lack of military service. “But I think I make up for it right now ... because we’re rebuilding our military at a level that it’s never seen before.”
Sen. Duckworth was not impressed. As a lieutenant colonel, she lost both of her legs after the helicopter she was co-piloting was shot down over Iraq in 2004". Trump received a total of five draft deferments from military service during the Vietnam War: four for education, and a fifth for bone spurs in his heels. Sen. Duckworth has mocked him as “Cadet Bone Spurs” on multiple occasions.

Not only is he a liar and a crook, But He's also a liar and a crook with a yellow streak down his back.
Democrats can turn immigration into a total loser for Donald Trump in 2020 — if they dare
"When President Donald Trump kicks off his reelection campaign Tuesday in Orlando, Florida, expect him to do what he does in every rally: Demonize immigrants, puff up his strongman persona, and bask in “build the wall” chants. He does so because he believes that immigration is a political winner. Many pundits agree with him.
As an expert in immigration policy and politics, I have a different take. If Democrats are deft and daring, they can transform immigration into his Achilles' heel".
"In the world according to Trump, his 2016 campaign rode racism and xenophobia to victory. In the 2018 midterms, he doubled down, invoking caravans filled with criminals and terrorists and producing an ad so racist even Fox News wouldn’t air it. Republicans suffered the largest midterm popular-vote defeat in American history".

Donald Trump's treason claim comes as leaks show Washington is desperate — about him
"President Donald Trump says the New York Times has committed “Treason." If anything, the venerable Gray Lady is guilty of a far less capital offense known, in newspaper parlance, as “burying the lead.”
That’s what editors accuse reporters of doing when they put their most interesting stuff wa-a-a-a-ay down in the middle of a story.
It’s arguably what happened over the weekend when the Times posted a lengthy, detailed story about how the U.S. is escalating efforts to hack into Russian infrastructure as a deterrent against Russian attempts to do the same in the U.S.
Twenty-two paragraphs into the piece come to this jaw-dropper of a sentence:
“Pentagon and intelligence officials described broad hesitation to go into detail with Mr. Trump about operations against Russia for concern over his reaction — and the possibility that he might countermand it or discuss it with foreign officials, as he did in 2017 when he mentioned a sensitive operation in Syria to the Russian foreign minister".

Trump hires only the best.
Trump’s picks for administration jobs keep dropping out. But why?
"WASHINGTON – On his first day in office, President Donald Trump formally nominated Andrew Puzder as his labor secretary, handing a key position in his administration to a fast-food magnate whom he’d boasted would save businesses from “the crushing burdens of unnecessary regulations.”
But Puzder couldn’t even save himself.
Puzder, who ridiculed his own restaurant employees as “the best of the worst” and said he’d like to replace them with robots, withdrew his nomination less than a month later amid devastating revelations he had once employed an undocumented housekeeper and failed to promptly pay taxes on her".
"Puzder was one of the first, but not the last, of Trump’s nominees to fall. The pattern has been repeated again and again and again, with more than five dozen of Trump’s picks for various jobs either withdrawing or seeing their nominations pulled before they were put through the confirmation process in the Senate. "

Trump once again opens mouth and inserts foot. I knew this was a lie just the time he said it. It was meant to rile up his base before the Florida event. That's all it was. Trying to get his dwindling base going ahead of the Florida event.
The sad part is what's left of his fuc$%D up base will fall all over this and will believe it. Even though it most likely will never happen. Kinda like that caravan that was headed to the border a few months ago. But after the midterms just kinda disappeared.
Just like all this trouble at the border now. How convenient was it that all this started when Trump took office. When he leaves in 2020, watch how fast the problem at the border goes away. I would almost bet Trump has something to do with the border problem we've been having since he took office. He had to come up with some sort of controversy. Something that after 4 years in office might get him re-elected. He has something to do with it somehow. We may never know how.
Ex-ICE officials criticize Trump's tweet about upcoming deportation sweep
"President Trump issued a public warning Monday night, by tweet, of a mass deportation effort by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), to start next week.
“Next week ICE will begin the process of removing the millions of illegal aliens who have illicitly found their way into the United States,” he tweeted.
Trump is holding a rally Tuesday in Orlando, billed as the kickoff to his reelection campaign.
The president did not offer any other details about how ICE, which is already detaining a record number of immigrants, intends to further ramp up its interior enforcement efforts. However, his tweet seemed to suggest that the agency was preparing to execute a plan that Trump and senior immigration adviser Stephen Miller have reportedly been pushing for months, to arrest and remove thousands of families, prompting sharp criticism from some former ICE officials".

Trump vows to deport ‘millions’ of migrants, but it’s unclear how

Yes, There’s a Crisis on the Border. And It’s Trump’s Fault.
"Trump has made border security and immigration enforcement a rallying cry of his campaign and the centerpiece of his presidency. But now, as the effects of his immigration policies have become measurable, it is clear to us—three people who have worked on the issue in previous administrations—that Trump is the worst president for border security in the last 30 years".

Ocasio-Cortez accuses Trump administration of creating ‘concentration camps on the southern border’
"Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., on Tuesday sharply criticized the Trump administration's practice of holding migrants seeking asylum in what she called “concentration camps.”
"This administration has established concentration camps on the southern border of the United States for immigrants, where they are being brutalized with dehumanizing conditions and dying," Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.
On Monday night, she posted a video to Instagram expressing the same concerns.
"The fact that concentration camps are now an institutionalized practice in the home of the free is extraordinarily disturbing," Ocasio-Cortez said.
