Groping is being touched intimately without your consent. Would anyone like that? It's without consent slaphead

It happened to me 2x when in Indonesia, and both times I automatically slapped the guy in the face. Like a reflex, whack!
You don't go around groping people. People have gotten in trouble for less, sexual harassment without touching.

It's only happened once, years ago when I was a server/waitress. He ended up with a glass of ice water on his lap... accidentally of course! whoa

On a more serious note... NO! Like Crystal said it is being touched in a sexual way without your consent and that is never okay!

In the work force we have very strict rules/laws concerning sexual harassment... groping, along with more passive forms of harassment like gawking are handled seriously. Some lose their jobs, others go to jail for such acts.

Apparently, spontaneous 'boobie honking',
is for close friends.

Exactly. People have been sacked for wolf whistling and since last year it is against the law in Rotterdam to harass women in the street (wolf whistling, cat-calling) to make it safe again for women to go out.
Every woman between 18 and 45 gets bothered by this chit. And I know from experience that it happens when a girl is 14 too.
The street intimidation can get you a E4100 fine (!!!!) or 3 months in prison.

Without consent then it's just a sexual assault, plain and simple.

I've been gropes a few times by strange women, admittedly when they have had a drink. I didn't make a fuss. In fact I have fond memories of being groped by strange women. :)

I remember a time playing pool....

The tone of this thread seems a bit touchy.

Wait!
Is touchy the right word?

That is a good way to get knocked out ~~~

Years ago when I was a Bartender had a guy grabbed my *** while sitting at a table with his buddies.. Guess he thought it would be a dare of some sort..

What he did not expect was even with a full tray of drinks I turned and slapped him across the face with the empty hand.. As I did it I told him grab my *** again and you will be on the floor next time as I walked away...His buddies got a good laugh on his expense...

Bet he thought twice before he groped someone else~~~~surprised laugh laugh laugh

While I commend what you did in response to his grope, the key phrase you mentioned was "years ago". I believe that since the last election, many men now feel it's all right to grope again. Nowadays that guy slapped may've hit back, breaking a jaw. While the woman would be in the clear legally as the police take him away, her jaw and teeth would never be the same. Tough call. No, I don't have the answer to the best course of action in a situation like this other than reporting it immediately to the bar's manager.
