Who counts their steps? What's your daily goal? What do you do to reach your goal?

I wear a pedometer and I try my best to get no less than 10,000 steps a day by walking.

Do you do anything special to help you obtain your goal?

I don't track my steps , I track calories burned and shoot for 1000 a day and usually go over my goal. I usually lift weights and resistance train upper body one day lower next, and always do cardio usually 2 hours on treadmill and 1 on efx , 20 minutes on stairs( just started that).take cycle classes 2 to 3 times a week also. Wednesday I walked a total of 11 miles 6 at gym 5.2 with my walking group.......yes I'm bragging

I used EasyFit Pedometer for quite some time. My goal was not to count all steps, just the amount when I go for a (short) walk.
I didn't do all day as I then have to carry my phone with me all the time, plus it drains the battery.
It does stimulate to walk more though.
After an update I stopped using it as it didn't start at 0 anymore. It kept counting. It's set at 50.000+ and I can't find a way to set it to 0, no does any online site tell you how to do so.
Back to just walking, haha.

I just go for a walk that's all, nothing special.

I managed to reset it!! YAY!
I've used it today when I went out. I'm quite impressed with the nr of steps, just walking indoors, and in town.
It does inspire to use it :)

I've not been wearing mine in this weather but it's usually around 12-13000 per day plus 20-30 stairs.
The most was about 15000, and considering that I was installing a kitchen that's a lot in a little space!
Like I said to crystal earlier somewhere else that I've done 5000 on a Saturday morning just doing some baking!

Yes, just walking indoors can add up!
Maybe I should do more cooking & baking. Sounds like you can lose weight while your making good food, haha.

Gave it some thought, like 5 seconds... decision is "no". My dislike of cooking is too big to overcome, haha.
But I did make a really nice salad today!

And you end up eating too much laugh

It's not only about the step count though. It's the burn levels, so your heart rate needs to be raised for ex amount of time.

Yes, you're right. Doing the one mile walk is great for that :) I don't have to leave the house for it, so I can do it whenever I want, regardless of weather and time. Doesn't cost anything, just look it up on YouTube and off we go. It gets you fitter, more toned and you lose a bit of weight.
I believe heartrate has to be up for about 30 mins?
