Four years ago now on a night so cold
No more now are you going to grow old
Your time had come but why so fast
I was sure without you I couldn't last

Four years now just like yesterday
Still wish we were on the farm making hay
While you lay alive no more
I cried so much with a heart so raw

Four years now Dad why did you leave
My heart it will forever grieve
We all miss you with hearts besotten
Please know Dad you're never forgotten
