I have some one-sided 78 rpm slate records that were my dad's.
I once broke one by picking it up wrong.

Yeah I remember many's a cassette repair myself, winding the tape with a pencil, it's hard to beat Youtube these days.

On stage yerself then? In what role?

Singer, percussion, backing vocals, and presenting the gig. Local event, always lots of people turning up, great fun to do!

And yes, the tape repair, having to be really careful so you didn't switch A & B in the process, haha. I simply tied a knot in it ya know, lol.

Nice one, woman of all trades then Ha, I still do a few gigs, great times when the place is enjoying the vibe.. Taping the top 20 off the radio another blast from the past..lol

Well, ermm... yes, hihi.
I don't do gigs anymore, do miss it.
So you know what it's ike as well :) And yes, you need a happy responsive audience, otherwise it can be more like a nightmare.
I loved the presenting most, although singing was also great! But presenting, oh yesss baby! Fills my heart with joy, I really LOVE it.

Yeah and still love it too, although some gigs seem like hard work..lol But the show must go on.. winking

I used to have that album King crimson. aah takes me back..

Ha I picked up a music center last week at an air ambulance charity shop for £25. its got a turntable that plays all the speeds ( even 78s) tape to tape radio cd usb, and bluetooth. records any input to mp3. the best sound i can get is to record from album to metal oxide tape. even cd s are a step down.
Which is 40 yea old technology.

Mostly though I just use youtube. Same as everyone else.
