I'm with soufie on this one, I don't like either one and seldom wear jewelry unless it's a gemstone for more metaphysical reasons.
Pick me a bouquet of wildflowers or give me a cool river stone or seashell you picked up just for me, and I'm a happy woman.
I have one pearl pendant, amorphous, cos of metaphysical reasons. Well, I was drawn to it because of that :)
That looks like this:
Pearl is connected to the moon and thus with our emotions, femininity. Like the pearl grows inside a shell, it gives us a feeling of safety & security, protects the feminine and receptive part in us. They're also called "Tears of happiness", and support emotional cleansing processes.
The soft, cleansing energy of pearl brings warmth, softness, peace, relief. She awakens the highest loving part in you.
Just a few things on pearl cos I thought you might like it :)
Diamonds also have metaphysical qualities of course as they're also a gemstone.
I guess I am only used to the fake ones, haha.
Very beautiful and yes, as a pendant I would be touched if a man gave me one. I just don't usually wear jewelry on a regular basis. Perhaps it has to do with the kind of work I've mostly done. It's difficult when working physically demanding jobs and doesn't really go with the uniform, haha.
Maybe it's time I start. I actually bought a necklace a couple weeks ago, a dainty one with rose quartz and a moonstone. But I've yet to wear it... it sits in my drawer.
I don't usually wear a lot of jewelry either. In the past I always had a whole
bunch of silver bracelets on one arm, always at least one ring.
But somehow I cannot bear it on me anymore. I wear my ring when I go out, but when home again I take it off. Same with my watch, I got me some nice ones last year.
The only thing I do wear daily is a silver necklace with usually 2 pendants, one of which is that pearl, the other a gorgeous larimar.
I think the good quality real pearl is rounder and has that typical whitish colour.
I do love those too! That shine! And I don't care for bling-bling, that's not it.
It's the energy of pearl, of that colour of pearl (I'm a sucker for colour therapy),
if you could call that a colour.
I guess cos it has soft rainbow colours and that's what really floats my boat, haha.
