No. I have been hurting over a breakup so much that it made it difficult to fall asleep. But that's different from missing someone. You can be hurting over a breakup and not miss someone.

Yes! My son, after he died... about 12 and a half years ago, he took his own life. I spent many sleepless nights and put myself through a lot of torment feeling it was somehow my fault. It wasn't until after he visited me in my dreams that I was able to sleep peacefully. He told me things that helped me understand more as to why he left. And then we went to Disney World and played. Even though he's not physically here anymore, he will always be in my heart and when I want to see him, I only have to close my eyes and imagine us playing at Disney World or someplace else.

As far as those I had a romantic relationship with... Not really. I missed the closeness we had at times and having someone to hold, more so than the actual person... they became an ex for a reason. Like Crystal, I had difficulty falling asleep but that was mostly due to having been hurt, not from missing him.
