Hello Dinowaving

War is never fair .. it is always a show of power .

I am curious why other Arab/middle eastern nations do not intervene in the Palestinian/Israeli conflict . Do they not care ??

If the "world " did intervene do you really think peace would be the consequence ?

What intervention do you believe would bring a peaceful resolution to the conflict ?

No pressure to answer :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Hi Blondey, I wouldn't call what is happening to the people of Gaza "War"

I would like to see a world movement as we saw against the Apartheid regime in South Africa, if it was wrong there it should be wrong in Palestine, it seems that the only way to make a difference is to hit people in their pocket.

As for other Arab/middle eastern nations I don't know, maybe fear.

"The Israeli decision to rain death and destruction on Gaza, to use lethal weapons of the modern battlefield on a largely defenceless civilian population, is the final phase in a decades-long campaign to ethnically-cleanse Palestinians.

Israel uses sophisticated attack jets and naval vessels to bomb densely-crowded refugee camps, schools, apartment blocks, mosques, and slums to attack a population that has no air force, no air defence, no navy, no heavy weapons, no artillery units, no mechanized armour, no command in control, no army… and calls it a war. It is not a war, it is murder."

"largely defenceless civilian population"
"It's time. Long past time. The best strategy to end the increasingly bloody occupation is for Israel to become the target of the kind of global movement that put an end to apartheid in South Africa."

"largely defenceless civilian population"
I do not support what is happening just expressing how confusing it appears to me as an outsider ...

a population that is "largely defenceless" (but not completely defenceless) is a weak opponent in war .... What do the surrounding nations gain if Israel succeeds or fails . Is there any political , religious or economic advantage to the rest of the Middle East ???

I do not understand their silence / lack of support .. what would they fear ??

Not completely of course, but a few small arms against the 4th strongest army in the world..
As I said, I don't understand their silence either, the fear of sanctions maybe, America does bank roll Israel with billions a year.

Hmm, nuclear weapons perhaps?
I mean they're clearly supported by the U.S.
They've got them
I don't think the Israelis have declared having them, but neither have they declared not having them , but I think many assume they do
No weapons inspectors for them, hey
So, does anybody else in that region have them?
Not that I know of, but I could be wrong
But hey, I think they might have oil
And the U.S. loves it's petrol dollar and and going to war with anybody that doesn't want to use it

Nukes or the big brother.
I've read that the US government gives 4 Billion dollars a year to Israel, that's 10.5 million dollars per day, and Israel has universal healthcare and government subsidised colleges and universities for all it's citizens, it's kinda fecked up considering ohwell

That's like the 6 counties a few decades ago. And again, the Pigs are walking away with blue murder grumble
