Step back and consider the root of all the problems the world and all the societies in the world face right now.

Imagine, just for a moment, there were fewer people involved.

There are less people trying to get into college in your chosen trade.
There are less people seeking jobs in your chosen field.
Less people in front of you in the emergency room.
Less people in the gas station, the grocery store or the department store.

Your kids get more attention from their teachers because there are fewer students per class.
You get home sooner because there is no real traffic.
Things are cheaper and easier to get.
You don't need Walmart home delivery because you neighbors will give you what you need.

THERE ARE MORE PEOPLE BEING BORN THAN DYING.

Does that mean anything to you?
Can you wrap yer mind around that?
If there is anything that NEEDS attention, its that.

THERE ARE MORE PEOPLE BEING BORN THAN DYING.

Everything else is a distraction.

THERE ARE MORE PEOPLE BEING BORN THAN DYING.

There, three times I screamed it at you...Does it register?

I think in India we are finally getting the big picture.

In some cities, no one drinks tap water; even well water.
We pay for our drinking water.

No, and it won't because it is nonsense.
The problem is different. There is plenty of space, food, time, money and so on, on this planet. The problem is that it is divided wrong. 10% of people hold most of the money and part of these people are the ones truly in power, construing a society that is not providing abundance for everyone.
The problem is not too many people, but the people in power insisting on keeping the power.

You speak of 'the neighbours would give it to you' which implies caring and love. This is what the world needs and what is difficult to get to when you are suffering financially. And that caring should be at government level to begin with. But even governments are controlled by greedy people who want money and power.
So people suffer.
Not enough money for healthcare. Not enough money for schools. And so on. Not because there are too many people, but because there isn't enough money made available to have them run properly.
Big Pharma -and thus the ones in power- milking sick people as it makes them billions. Yet not giving enough to healthcare to make it run properly, which helps them as people remain ill. It's a perpetual thing.

THAT is the problem, not the amount of people on the planet.
If there's not enough jobs in a field it's because of bad economy, which again is controlled by the ones in power.
If people in general become more wealthy, taxes go up to keep us in poor state.
There is plenty of money and space and food for everyone, even without GM -which is created by the ones in power.
The problem is not that, it's the true ones in power that keep us struggling and poor.
It's the ones in true power who influence the EU and make our government ruin all the laws and systems we had to keep our country reasonably well off and running well.
So you may want to shift your focus, especially since the ones in power are mostly in America.

Did it register yet? It's NOT too many people. It's the ones who truly are in power.

Dunno if you ever heard of it, but read up on Codex Alimentarius.
All this has been planned for decades, beginning after WW2.

And think of this...

Decades ago a great many schools were closed, both elementary and secondary. They had to merge. That meant they could sack teachers and save money.
Then they decided 1 teacher could handle 30-40 pupils. I've been in a class of 43 myself. Meaning they could sack more teachers.
Government decides how many pupils are allowed max in one class, nothing to do with the amount of people.
I know cos I have been a teacher.

Hospitals... many were shut down and they had to merge. One huge factory without a personal touch like the old ones used to have. But this merging, sometimes 3 in 1, meant sacking a helluva lot of personnel. Meaning quality of healthcare suffered tremendously.
Then they decided to cut the time a patient gets to spend in hospital, even after surgery. Meaning they could sack more personnel.

Cuts in police force, so not enough police in the streets. Horribly low wages for police, so many take money on the side to survive.

Just a few examples, and neither have anything to do with too many people, but with too many cuts so they would save money at the expense of the common folk.
Again the ones in power who run governments.

Nothing to do with too many people and thus not enough jobs. To do with too many cuts and sacking too many people.

I would be more concerned if there were more people dying than being born.At some stage there would be no one left.

Yea but only a by roughly 60 million a year.

There are a few signs of slow down for example japan, Ive no doubt that the op has looked into it already but

https://www.worldometers.info/world-population/population-by-country/

https://www.worldometers.info/

huge amounts of young people in japan have turned gay.

rodents do the same thing if they overpopulate.

let that sink in lol.

Many mammals exhibit this mechanism when faced with overpopulation as defined by the inability of their environment to support them.

Worry not. :)

My kids (adults) were just talking about this, it certainly is a major contributor to
global warming. But, what is the solution? There is no easy answer.
