The Wrong Alice

Mon 08/05/19 10:22 PM

'Twas beneath the shadow of the silvery moon,
Began the realization, of a forgotten buffoon,
Whose hopes and dreams had come to pass,
alas, alas, alas
Where am I now, he thought to himself? Am I here? Am I somebody else?
Who could I be? And why?
Is it me, I cry?
I think it's you, said a far off near voice,
you used to be you, but now your somebody else
Am I the same, as I was before ?
Of course, but now your different, and there's more?
More of what, I ask, pray do tell
You do not know? Why don't you ask yourself?
I tried that once, when I closed my eyes,
it came to pass, and I realized,
soliloquy, is me, is it true?
or a divine intervention, from me to you
