A reasonable enough assumption.
And it used to work out that way on most online dating sites years ago, much more so than nowadays.
However, as with most human endeavors, there is the original intended purpose, the logical purpose, and the eventual operational purpose, and usually, all 3 do not match.
Humans tend to have a natural knack for messing things up.
