I recently altered my profile text, copied & pasted it here, but then I got all these annoying white spaces.
I copied & pasted via Notepad to get rid of any possible Word make up, yet still get those white spaces where they shouldn't be.

When I click "Edit profile" I do NOT see these white spaces???

Help please!!

Not sure actually what you are asking about for your profile seems fine..

Unless it is a setting in your fonts ect

Due to I have not heard of anyone else having this issue it could be a setting on your computer..

Even those in Support would have to see what you are talking about in order to answer this..

I think I know what you're talking about Crystal.

Do you mean there's extra lines between your paragraphs in your profile? I know when I view my write up after clicking Edit Profile, I see only 2 lines between my paragraphs but when I click on View Profile from the homepage, I see that there's extra lines between paragraphs. I noticed this a few months back and it's not my settings but the site's settings.

Just a guess.
In Windows, paragraphs end with both carriage return and line feed characters. Unix - or Linux - only uses only one of these (can't remember which one).
Pasting Windows formatted text on a Unix system (the most common system on Internet) can result in an extra blank line.
There are probably utilities out there to convert the text, but it's easier just to live with it.
It also looks to me like you are putting in blank lines when editing in Notepad. Just press the return key once at the end of each paragraph (ie. no blank lines in your Notepad text), otherwise you will get 2 blank lines where you only want one.
Hope that makes some sense and helps solve your problem.

Okay just went and looked at my profile had a extra space between paragraphs if that is what you meant..

So I went back to edit my profile took out the extra space it looked like the two sentences were going to be all together but when I click to update then it came out the way I wanted it too..

So just go and use your Backspace on the line you want less space.. It will still add the space but take away the extra space.

I'm talking about too many spaces. I didn't think it was so difficult to understand :/
Like when I say:

I like my
cats
paints
friends
blabl
blabla
blabla

It becomes like this:

I like my

cats

paints

friends

blabl

blabla

blabla

When I click "Edit profile" it looks like the first example, yet "view profile" shows the second.
How do I get rid of that? I've NEVER had that after I'd whipped it through Notepad as that gets rid of any make up.

You need to strip out the carriage return characters added by Notepad when you press your return key. You'll need some kind of program to do that, or use Linux instead of Windows.
Sorry I can't suggest anything. It's the kind of thing I would usually write my own program for.

As I stated above use your Backspace to take out the extra space.. Just tried it and it worked for me..

If that does not work then you will need to contact Support for we do not deal with issues with Profiles/Technical.

The extra spaces are NOT THERE when I go to "edit profile" so there's nothing to take out.

I'll just do the contact thing. Thanks

Mine was not there either when I went to click on edit..But if you will still do the Backspace it takes it out when you update it.

Try this on edit by backspacing your existing and see what happens to profile

I like my cats paints friends etc
