I don't know if this topic fits anywhere. Do people like trees? What are some favorites?

I like trees. Where I grew up, we had a good sized lawn, and many trees. My favorites were two big oaks in the back yard and a dogwood tree in the front yard.

I like oaks since they are so majestic. I like Dogwoods because they are small trees with flowers, either white or pink.

Trees with flowers...

Have you ever been around mimosa trees?
Small, with flower like tufts of pink
and white.

I had a couple of cats that were good tree climbers. Some cats can climb trees but can't get out. I had cats that could climb trees and get down on their own.

I had a mimosa tree outside my window when I was a kid. The cat liked to lay in the window and watch the birds.

I've watched cats climb out of trees. They go down slow and when about 10 feet from the ground, they jump.

I am really lucky I live on a beach bordered by a pine forest . Love the smell of warm pine in summer . Have a beautiful old oak teee in my garden that is massive and looks great with fairy lights at Christmas . Also lots of nz native trees and nearly a dozen fruit trees to attract native birds . Love the tuis.. fantails and wood pigeons that visit my garden .. beautiful .

Fruit tree's were of course the best to climb in season. 15 kids sitting in a fruit tree looking like a family of apes having snacks laugh

When I lived on my ranch I had spruce, pine, cottonwood and hackberry trees.
So yeah I like trees. Was also in the firewood business for 3 winters.
Trees are my friend ;-)

I miss the trees up near Tahoe, where i use to live.

The alder and spruce in Alaska.

Not a fan of the bois de 'arc & cedar in the area
I live now.

Once had a friend, who had a tree in their yard, that
had leaves on it, that looked like marijuana leaves.
Called it, an "aerial cannabis".
Story sounded good, so i never bothered to research
it.
laugh

Of course, weeping willow is an all time favorite.

The weeping willow tree is my favorite as well.

I like most trees, especially during springtime when they're first spouting leaves and in the fall when they turn colors. My least favorite are palm trees.

I grew up in the German countryside, a small wee village, surrounded by forests. Just a beautiful landscape. But I don't have a favourite tree.
