Sin is your inability to conduct your life in accordance with the doctrine of the religion you choose to follow.

If you do not follow any religion, sin does not exist.

NOTE: not to be confused with the concept of right and wrong which is also dependent on your society and yourself.

I once spilled paint on the door of my beat up old work truck.
When people would come up to my door and ask me about my truck I just said "Yeah, it looks bad but it runs good" and pointed at the paint.

Vero good answer... but why some relingion call this sin?

Why does any religion do what it does?
To control the behavior of its followers.
Religion need you to conform to its doctrine and think as they tell you.
It does this by offering rewards and punishments then tells you you have the freedom to do as you will.
If you do not do as they say, you will be punished for your sins unless you repent.
Its all simply a manipulation tactic.

why ask someone who does not believe in God concerning sin?

their answers won't be anywhere close to correct, only judgemental.

religion is not God
God is not religion
the 2 of them do not go together...it's like trying to fit a square peg into circle.

and sin is my ill will towards you in my thoughts, what i want to do as in hurt you, how i can get over on you, how can i steal from you, how can i manipulate you are what's constitutes sin!!

it's the mean things you think towards another that would bring them harm, or the things you do to get the best of them, or to trick them, or anything that relates to you wanting to do someone else wrong is a Sin!!

First religion doesn't control you. If you are wise you control yourself.

I agree, if you are wise.
Wisdom is gained by experience.
Knowledge is gained by learning and wisdom.

Religion can teach you many things but it can also teach you many wrong things.
Its wisdom you gain from experience which allows you to make the correct decisions. Religion can guide you but wisdom applies, every single time.

If religion were the master, M2 would be filled with nothing but single, unmarried people.
The fact divorces happen is testament to wisdom.
If religion were master, people would live in contentment.
The fact there is stress is testament to wisdom.

Wisdom tells us when religion is not working.
You might rebel against the wisdom but in the end, reality always is.

I noticed that none of the participants here quote the the bible.
When dealing with God, we must know whats in the bible.

Sorry, there is no sin other than repeating the wrongs you have learned. Without question they have resulted, by your own knowledge ( at the time) to a negative result. Some call it will, decisions, etc. And yes sin......go to church and for £££££££.cc they will be forgiven, forgiveness is the ability to learn, ignorance to this fact would be void of your ability to even do the basics of a toddler....thank you and goodnight

Sin is breaking the ten commandments and if you break even one
you have broken them all like a chain being broken but Jesus paid
for our sins and by repenting and turning away from sin and accepting
Jesus our sins have been paid for

James 4:17 - Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth [it] not, to him it is sin.

Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 John 3:4 - Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-At any rate, sin is a law of God you break. Sin is in the KJV Bible Both in the Old and New Testament. Since Jesus is the sacrificial lamb, those old laws that have to do with sacrifice and related to it are outdated, but the rest of the laws arent. Sin for instance is marrying your sister/brother/cousin, a member of the same sex, is getting a tattoo and not obeying the 10 Commandments for starters.

An offense against others. Nothing to do with the religions of the world.

crossing the line that everyone knows is there, for personal gain, but justifying why you're crossing the line anyway.

also.....

When your poop is the color of fruitloops.

...and if all the people around you are evil as crap? Is murder a sin? I know some who think it isnt. Who's to say one thing is right and wrong? It gets to the point that only one way is the right way.

Sin is a stain on yourself through things that causes you negative impact and/or society. Code of laws, ethical standards, moral code and other names have been written for a person to live by to prevent such self harm. Some rules to follow were put down to get people not to eat certain things because of the fact you can die from them if cooked wrong.
