Bernie would've made an excellent president, too, but he simply didn't have the votes to win the primary, much less the general. Didn't connect enough with black and Latino voters as much as he needed, and the Republicans were going to harangue him on being a "socialist."
Hillary has never even hinted that she'd run again, since '16. Maybe you're thinking about when Tulsi Gabbard had a fit and claimed that the race was now between herself and Hillary, which was super strange because Gabbard was never even in the top five Democrats, and Clinton is not running.
