Been a while since I lived in Jakarta, but I liked the landscape, at the time pasar Blok M in Jakarta -which was trashed shortly after I left. We often went there, all the things you could buy, the hustle and bustle. Loved it!
Food, although after a while I craved my own food hihi. I still don't like eating rice every day.
Kelapa muda... oh my god! So delicious! Especially with the white syrup in it. Can't remember what it was or what it was called, but loved it.

Traveling across Java, Bali, I've been to the inlands of Irian Jaya and so on.

I always loved Bali, but of course back then (1985-1987) it was totally different from now. Kuta was cute, now there's these hotels. I guess the rest pretty much changed accordingly. Ubud...
Lived there for 2 years, so a great many memories. There were elections at some point. Even that was impressive to experience (we really went out in the street).
