I was planned over 8500 trees in my home place and I guide more people to plant more trees in different district... I invite everyone to plant a tree in your home place or BEACH or LAKE or SCHOOL AREA or TEMPLE AREA.plant more trees to stop pollution of air and as well as your health.

Absolutely great! And quite ridiculous we have to rely on poor(er) countries to do this sort of work.
Over here government wants to CUT down trees by the thousands because of the nitrogen crisis.
I doubt there is a crisis, but some di(k in the the EU and our premier have decided it is so, there's likely financial gain in it for them. So the entire country has to suffer, from people being forced to switch to electric cars, cooking electrically etc etc.

Apart from that government is about to decide to not protect and preserve nature reserves anymore and cut down thousands of trees to battle the nitrogen crisis. WTF? slaphead

At the same time in Ethiopia and your country they're planting trees to try and save the world.
It's something that should be done in Western countries as well, unfortunately no one seems to care.

I support several organizations that are planting millions of trees
around the globe. Yes, Iā€™m a tree hugger :)

I can top that. The Irish government plans to cut down trees in Dublin to make roads wider. Supposed to be for bus lanes, but if there was less cars, if they would promote cycling the same way, it's done in the Netherlands, roads wouldn't be that congested.

You feel that's worse than cutting down trees for an invented crisis? At least that's for a reason.
People don't cycle to work here either unless they live real close to work. But most work further away. You think we don't have traffic jams. Have you ever been here??
A piece that should take 50 mins to drive takes you 3-4 hrs in morning and evening traffic. Basically my country is one big traffic jam, even during weekends. It's horrible!

i have always said this also, and i agree with you, it seems the top 10 financially stable countries leave all the responsibility to lesser countries to provide for the climate by means of trees and greenery/ ridiculous. i always do my personal best to take care of plant and animal life at all point in my life.

I went to Rotterdam (doesn't count though, I only went to the Kuip), Eindhoven and Enschede so far. It didn't look to bad. And there was a documentary about Amsterdam on the telly. It looked very well organised, proper and reliable public transport and segragated cycle lanes.

Fortunately here in Rossendale and across the UK, trees and forests are being replanted and expanded. Thanks to the general replanting schemes, the Northern hemisphere has more trees than at any time since the mid-nineteenth Century. If you want to reduce Carbon Dioxide from the atmosphere, then planting trees in the best thing you can do is plant trees rather than cutting them down as seems to be happening elsewhere.

"Northern hemisphere". Predictive text. Should read Northern England.

Well, that got a bit garbled. Here in Rossendale, thanks to the Red Rose Society and across the UK generally, trees and forests are being replanted and expanded rather than being cut down. So much so, that Northern England and Scotland now have more trees than at any time since the mid-nineteenth Century. If you want to reduce Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere and improve air quality, then the best and most effective way of doing this is by planting trees.
