Personally unless I know you, and know your coming around, then I don't open my door, full stop
An old acquaintance told me that if they came around, he would open the door, smile and say As-salāmu ʿalaykum, and then welcome them in
He used to chuckle as he described how they looked horrified, and went away, after deciding not to come in
He was not a Muslim

For me, it's always the same.

I answer the door, they say "We'd like for you to become a Jehovah's Witness!"

I say "Sorry, I didn't see the accident."

I do welcome them each time they check on me because they always come up with Interesting and vital points.

The last time they came to my house, I greeted them in my boxers and I have seen them since

I have answered the door to them in the past but have to say, if I knew it was them, I wouldn't have answered.

I don't let them speak very much but just tell them that my beliefs do not match theirs and it never will. I'm polite but firm with them.

I asked them to take me off their map/list. And they have. If you accept one of their booklets, they are trained to make a repeat visit to discuss it with you.

I've never accepted their magazines. They only came to my door once, a few months after I moved to this area and they haven't returned.........yet. It was less than a year ago

They must have marked you in their records as unconvertable lol.

Last time was a few years ago.
I greeted them like they were old friends.
We stood on the porch and talked about their religion and I kept asking questions.
Then some old guy walked up, gave the women a dirty look and ushered them away.
I followed them while asking them to come back.
As they moved faster on their way I got louder and louder till they turned the corner.
Sadly, they haven't been back...I wasn't finished.
