Anticipation:
the action of anticipating something; expectation or prediction.
Anticipate:
regard as probable; expect or predict.
act as a forerunner or precursor of.
I am a slave to anticipation.
I expect things to happen in my life.
When life does not provide me with things as I expected, it is a let down.
Expectation:
a strong belief that something will happen or be the case in the future.
one's prospects of inheritance.
Expect:
regard (something) as likely to happen.
regard (someone) as likely to do or be something.
believe that (someone or something) will arrive soon.
Living life in anticipation of expectation is dangersous to emotional security.
When we live anticipating our expectations we lose the ability to understand and deal with the unexpected.
Life is full of unexpected events.
The Universe is chaos and in a chaotic Universe it is more likely the expected will result in unexpected outcomes.
I find it challeging to remove my expectations from my interactions with another.
It is so easy to expect, then find.
However, if I can remove those expectations from the equation, I learn to see that person as they actually are.
This benefits me.
The blindsided surprise is no longer an issue.
The issue at hand...when, why and to what degree?
