When setting up a meet...

First you need a list of people willing to meet.
Then you need to know the general location of each and the limit to their travel time.
You need to know the date and time all agree on and the time it takes for each to make it to the meet location.

The location needs to align with the ability and will of the ones agreeing to meet.
Here in the states, it might be possible for someone living in Texas to meet in New York but not likely.

If a meet is at Niagra Falls on July 4th, some may be able to set up vacation to be there. People local could be there. Some will agree to be there but may not make it.
I ran into this trying to set up a college camping trip reunion.
What a headache for a small payoff.

Its best to plan get togethers at public events. NOLA's Mardi Gras, Mississippi's Cruzin the Coast, stuff like that. That way you can plan a meet at a certain local on a certain day of the event and see who shows up. If nobody shows, you still have the event to enjoy. In New York perhaps the Ball Drop at Time's Square? A Finger Lakes Festival?
You could put up an umbrella or screen tent with an M2 sign on it so people can find ya.
During Cruzin the Coast I see lots of umbrellas, tents and camps with signs identifying get togethers.

Try to remember the bigger the meet, the more popular the location/event needs to be to get turnout.

Certainly a lot of info to digest.
Will study it and see how we can get going...
But I can start with the people who are interested in meeting up..... the list.... just so we are clear, nothing has been decided yet..... day date place etc nothing ... so this is the list of people who would like to attend...
